The powerboard race was nearing its end; the three Orion women were now on the final stretch. And the winner is...

Reine’X: The turn is coming now. Girls, be careful of the land!

Tani: If you’re not, you’ll get a vitamin sea overdose!

Tani: Leeerrroyyy Jeenkiiiiinnnnsss!

Zarax: Oh no you don’t!

Tani: Don’t fall, don’t fall!

Tani was trying not to fall off the powerboard while doing her best to speed up. Zarax was suddenly defeated by a wave, flying through the air .

oOImpressive. Although that would be a different competition... Oo

Another adrenaline rush. The whole time, Reine'X made sure she knew where the other two women were. Mostly because she was the one who had talked them into this, she felt at least a little responsibility to make sure they did not break their necks. Now, however, she saw Tani successfully speeding up, ready to overshoot the final marker -- which was basically the shallow water near the shore.

Now! It was time to give it her all.

Reine'X shifted her weight and lowered herself onto her knees, her arms in perfect position oOLet's go!Oo It was time for her to shine and stop worrying about the others. She was loving it: the speed, the saltiness in the air, the tiny droplets of water against her skin. She put everything into it now, completely focused. Zarax flew somewhere behind her, while Tani was rapidly closing the distance as Reine'X entered the shallow water with a splash. Without slowing down near the shore, the Counselor precisely calculated the timing of her jump from the board just as it dug into the sand. Reine'X was satisfied with the calculation, which allowed her to leap off gracefully and stop her momentum quickly enough. At that very moment, Tani flew through the air beside Reine'X before landing face-first in the sand.

Tani: Did I win?

Zarax: :: laughing :: I didn’t see it, but at least you finished it.

Reine’X: I'm afraid not::beat :: but it was very close. For both of you. And it was fun!

They had been great opponents indeed. This race was not as fast or the track as challenging as the ones held on Risa, but there was no need for Reine'X to mention that. It had been great fun for everyone, and that was what counted.

Along the shoreline, the gathered spectators were still cheering them on, clearly having enjoyed the race.

Tani/ Zarax: Response

Zarax: So, what’s next? Another race? Drinks? Beach volleyball? Other ideas?

As Zarax spoke, the local man who had started their race approached the three women with an easy, confident smile.

NPC: Care to join us? ::He gestured toward a small group, gathered only a short distance away. Several of them noticed the Orions looking over and immediately waved enthusiastically.:: And by the way… what exactly is your sport called?

((OOC: Feel free to describe the person and also fill in the rest of their dialogue.))

Zarax/ Tani:
Responses

NPC: You three definitely know how to make an entrance.

Reine’X: ::laughing softly:: So what did you have in mind...? :: She motioned toward his group of friends, wondering what exactly they were supposed to join.

Anyone: response

Then, Reine'X glanced toward her companions, curious to see what they wanted to do next.
