((Sickbay, Deck 5, USS Valkyrie))
((After the procedure))
The two prospective parents were left alone in the room following the procedure. Squeezing Ghee’looth’s hand, Is’Kah beamed at her. She took in the sight of her partner and tried to contain the swirling warm feelings of love and the nauseating feelings of nerves at the momentousness of the moment.
Is’Kah: Sh’za, we’re going to be parents.
Feeling a little light headed like a shot of champagne to the brain the Andorian smiled broadly in the human fashion.
Xiron: We are. We are going to make a family.
Is’Kah: I know this wasn’t something you expected to happen to you.
Her antennae folded a bit as she weighed what zha had said.
Xiron: It is not like I thought that I would never play a part in having children. I guess there is too much of my Shreya in me. ::Her antennae curled forward::Maybe my Thavan too. But that was also before Starfleet and binding with you. All of that has changed.
Is’Kah slid off the bed.
Is’Kah: That makes me happy to hear, sh’za. ::beat:: Let’s go home, I’ll let you feel the baby’s lifeforce when we get there.
The prospect of that left Xiron speechless for a moment.
Xiron: I can feel you and you are positively glowing.
Is’Kah: Respond
The taller woman wrapped her arm over the petite one’s shoulder as they made their way out of the medical suite.
Xiron: Our child will be unique in the universe, zh’yi. One of a kind in which we can’t even guess yet.
Is’Kah: Respond
Xiron: Well what self-respecting Starfleet officers would we be if we can’t embrace the unknown.
Is’Kah: Respond
