Arthur used some of second Academy stint training and locked him in a choke hold.

Strathmore: No, you are going to stop. 

Kayvaan: ::Gasping:: Arthur, you’re choking me.

Lennai: Please.. surrender.

She wiped some more blood from her nose. Annoying.

Strathmore: Are you going to stop trying to kidnap us?

Vaysha had looked away for a second, only to see Kayvaan biting down on Arthur's arm and spring himself from the chokehold. Arthur howled in pain and looked at his arm. He was bleeding.

Kayvaan crawled for a while before getting to his feet. Vaysha saw him going for the phaser.

Lennai: Oh for the love of--

The former waiter grabbed the phaser.

Kayvaan: I have to do this. You’ll understand if you only–

Lennai: Shut up already!

Vaysha charged ahead, pushing Arthur out of the way from the phaser beam.

Strathmore: Vaysha!

The phaser fired and the green beam shined brightly, narrowly missing both Vaysha and Arthur. However, from the angle that Kayvaan was standing, it looked as though it may have hit Vaysha. She laid on the ground, pretending to be unconscious.

Kayvaan: Response

Strathmore: Response

She had to remain quiet, listening on him getting closer and closer.

Kayvaan: Response

Strathmore: Response

There! She rapidly stood up behind him.

Lennai: Hey. You missed.

Kayvaan: Response

Before he could fully turn around, she did a massive roundhouse kick across the side of his head, knocking him clean out and flinging him to the ground. His phaser clattered to the floor next to Arthur.
