(( Main Sickbay, Deck 5, USS Valkyrie-A ))
Strathmore: I can tell you from experience, the Federation acts in good faith. I can assure you wholeheartedly.
After saying those words Arthur moved to grab a PADD per Doctor Doucet’s request. She had asked him to look up Cullum physiology. It was a simple enough of a request.
Reine’X: This means it maintains a lot of good relationships with other entities across the galaxy. Its history is proof. What’s more, the Federation comprises of many different species, living in harmony.... Embracing their differences, not putting them down.
Arthur watched the Doctor approach a slumbering female Caraadian. It appeared she would be the next to wake.
Doucet: “Infinite diversity in infinite combinations”. Hey, there’s even a Romulan on board. How’s that for diversity, huh?
Charn: Response
Then, the Caraadian awoke.
oO Two awake, we only need to do the same thing a couple more times. Oo
Sherlock: Like I said, we just want to talk.
Charn: Response
Sherlock: I'd just really like to know more about you and how you came to be in contact with some of our officers and how we can help you.
Reine'X: You mentioned earlier that someone might hurt you…? What do you mean? Who are you talking about?::She paused just for a second, then continued:: You also said that we are no different from… them? Who is “them”? I understand that you are scared… of them… but you don’t have to be. You are on a Federation ship now, and you are quite safe here.
Doucet: Charn, I don’t suppose you know if your “buddies” would use any specific kind of drugs on you?
Charn: response
Doucet: Strathmore, did you find that information on the Cullum like I asked?
Arthur had gotten a tad distracted listening to the conversation.
oO Right, Cullum physiology… Oo
He tapped the PADD and pulled up the information. Arthur eyed the patient. He was enormous.
oO We will need a lot more adrenaline for him. Oo
That’s when he read something that complicated things.
Strathmore: Yes, Doctor, just reading. One moment.
Sherlock: Response
Doctor Doucet handed a hypospray to Reine’X.
Doucet: There’s four more to wake up. They may or may not be as quiet as the other two for now. Pick one that’s not the Cullum and give them a shot. There should be two doses available in this hypospray, easy.
Charn: Response
Arthur had finally absorbed enough of the notes to give the info to the Doctor concisely.
Strathmore: It looks like their metabolisms might process the adrenaline differently so we might have to compensate or use an alternative, but the real difficulty will be piercing the living stone and metal that composes their exterior. But I imagine you already have a solution for that.
Sherlock: response
Doucet: Oh good. That confirms what I suspected. Adrenaline might not work for him after all. We’ll need to find something different.
Reine’X: Response
Doucet: Yes, yes, that’s fine. Talk to them after you get them awake. Make sure they know where they’re at.
Strathmore: We could try animazine.
Sherlock/Reine’X/Charn: Response
Doucet: If you know any of them, that’d be great. Names, at least? Favorite drugs of choice?
Reine’X/Charn: Response
Strathmore: I can synthesize it if need be.
Sherlock: Response
Arthur didn’t want to feel useless. He could be a scribe, an assistant, a nurse, whatever he had to do.
Strathmore: I have a PADD here. Need me to look up anything?
Sherlock/Reine’X/Charn/Doucet: Response
Strathmore: Romulans, I know. I can speak Romulan too. Not that we’ll necessarily need that but still.
Sherlock/Reine’X/Charn/Doucet: Response
Strathmore: I can do that, certainly.
Sherlock/Reine’X/Charn/Doucet: Response
