Kayvaan: Why are you being so difficult? It wasn’t easy to get to this point, you know! Come out here and be reasonable! NOW!

Kayvaan sounded even closer in his search. It would only be a matter of time before he found them.

Lennai: Just follow my lead.

She nodded to Arthur, patting his shoulder reassuringly before the two of them fell quiet. His footsteps could be heard crunching rocks and grass and leaves underfoot before he finally jumped down in front of them, with his back turned. It was at this point that Vaysha lunged.

Kayvaan: You! I will not be stopped by you!

Vaysha had grabbed him from behind and tossed him to the floor, knocking the phaser out of his grip as it clattered across the rocks. As he was standing, she sent a swift kick to his face to send him onto his back. 

Strathmore: Prophets!

Vaysha turned her back, looking at the Awe-Struck Arthur.

Lennai: Heh. No match for me. 

Kayvaan, however, had stood up quickly, and with her back turned, had tackled Vaysha to the ground, continuing his screaming.

Kayvaan: YOU WILL NOT MAKE A FOOL OF MY HOLY PURPOSE!!

His scream was so loud it reverberated in every direction. Arthur covered his ears. The waiter’s devotion was so absolute, it descended into utter madness. Arthur had to leap into action. He latched onto his shoulder and began to pull

Strathmore: Get off of her!

Eventually, Kayvaan’s grip on Vaysha was wrenched away by the pair.  The now-free Vaysha, rubbed her nose. It was bleeding. She wiped her nose, getting some of it on her sweater.

Lennai: This is absurd. 

Kayvaan: If you would only let me take you home–

Arthur used some of second Academy stint training and locked him in a choke hold.

Strathmore: No, you are going to stop. 

Kayvaan: ::Gasping:: Arthur, you’re choking me.

oO Who has he been talking to on New France to be acting so familiar with me? Oo

Lennai: Response

Strathmore: Are you going to stop trying to kidnap us?

Arthur was no master at hand to hand combat and amateurishly allowed Kayvaan to get his chin under his arm. He bit down on Arthur’s arm. Arthur’s pain tolerance had always been less than what he would have liked it to be. He loosened his grip immediately. Kayvaan was free.

Arthur howled in pain. He looked at his arm. The sweater was thick, but he could see the dark color pooling through.

oO He broke skin! What an utter psychopath! Oo

Kayvaan crawled for a while before getting to his feet. Arthur’s eyes followed him and his path ended at his phaser. If he got possession of that weapon, the pair would be at perhaps an unrecoverable disadvantage. 

Lennai: Response

The former waiter grabbed the phaser.

Kayvaan: I have to do this. You’ll understand if you only–

Lennai: Response

Strathmore: Vaysha!

The phaser fired and the green beam shined brightly.
