Seleya: I also wanted to offer, if you were interested in continuing lessons. I could send you translated texts on Rti’vyl ((Kazleti martial arts)). I know we only went over basics, but with your experience with martial arts already I am sure you could pick it up quite easily.
Before the last mission, they had discussed their experience and preferences with martial arts and bladed combat. They had arranged to set aside some time to train together and practice each other’s fighting styles from their culture.
Serala: I would like that, Seleya. We may even be able to arrange virtual lessons. Pre-recorded for when you go to deep space, or live when you’re close enough that communications will permit it.
Seleya: Of course, Captain. Happy to teach, and hopefully learn more of the Romulans arts.
Serala: So, how did you find Intel school? Red looks good on you, by the way.
Seleya took in a deep breath through her nose as she remembered the back to back days of studying. Going over data sheets, listening to sample comms. It was certainly a lot, and she would have her work cut out for it, but she did manage.
Seleya: Thank you, Captain. I will do my best to meet the expectations of those wearing the red uniforms. But Intel school was ::pause:: informative, difficult. Intelligences will be somewhat different from Tac/Sec, but I am looking forward to the change.
Serala: I think you will do well. And the Valkyrie has a whole section dedicated to Intel, so it’s a perfect assignment for you. I hope you enjoy it.
Seleya tilted her head. Since this was the first time she was hearing of the transfer she had not gotten the chance to look over the specs of the Valkyrie. But sounds as if she would have other coworkers that she would have to meet soon.
Seleya: It will certainly be exciting. Though hopefully nothing too exciting. I could use a break after these last couple of missions.
Serala: Response
