[[BACKSIM]] Captain Isara Aleron: It Would Be Logical, Indeed.

A lifetime in public service still had not done anything to remove her nerves. Public speaking was almost second nature, but she’d just told this crew that they would now be serving under her. Captain Serala was a hero and popular, and she wasn’t sure how they were going to feel about this change. Still, she remained to give anyone a chance to talk to her if they wanted to. Predictably, the First Officer of the Chin’toka was the first to approach her.
T’Ama: Captain Aleron! Lieutenant Commander T’Ama, First Officer. Of the Chin’toka.
The El-Auran-Vulcan raised her hand in the ta’al, and Isara returned it with a smile.
Aleron: Live long and prosper, Lieutenant Commander T’Ama. It is a pleasure to meet you.
T’Ama: I wish to inquire if I will be transferred to the Valkyrie too as her first officer.
Isara noted how formal and official the inquiry was. It didn’t seem to fit with her service record, but Isara just assumed the woman was trying to start off on the right footing.
Aleron: :: smiling politely, but genuinely :: Why would you think otherwise?
T’Ama: Then perhaps it would be logical if we met.
Aleron: It would be logical, indeed. So, I must admit, Commander, I’ve been waiting to meet you. I understand you were only recently promoted to First Officer, is that correct?
Isara shifted into a more relaxed stance, examining the First Officer as she took one of the crumpets from the refreshment table.
T’Ama: Response
Aleron: And how have you found the role so far?
T’Ama: Response
Isara nodded and looked at the other woman as she took a bite of the crumpet and reached for a cup of tea.
Aleron: There are a few department shifts coming, Commander. Most notably Operations and Science. Do you have any recommendations for shoring up Ops until we can get a few more officers in the department?
T’Ama: Response
Isara listened to the suggestion and made mental notes.
Aleron: We’re also going to be taking on a Cardassian civilian who will be working in medical. I would like you to ensure she integrates well into the crew.
T’Ama: Response
Aleron: I will be holding a meeting of all senior staff once everyone has completely transferred over. I’ll go over the departmental changes at that time.
T’Ama: Response
