LtCmdr Azura Ada - PADD repairs all around

(( Main Shuttlebay, Deck 11, USS Valkyrie-A ))

 

Azura stood, waiting for the shuttle arrive, and playfully nudged her shoulder into Is'Kah's. Well, height differences being what they were, Azura nudged her elbow into Is'Kah's shoulder. 

Ada: People are talking about heading down planet side. I've got to do some work, unfortunately, but hearing everyone's plans has me thinking about last shoreleave.

Is'Kah: ?

Azura giggled, blushing slightly.

Ada: Yes, the skydiving part. That's the part I was thinking about. 

Is'Kah: ?

Just then, the shuttle they were waiting for entered the hangar and set down.

Ada: I hope we can reminisce sometime soon--about the skydiving. Oh, here she comes.

The shuttle opened and Maddie strolled out, deep in her work and seemingly aloof.

Madeline: ::Muttering to herself. completely unaware of the world around her::  What if they repurposed the deep space sensors - No that wouldn't -

Ada: ::to Is'Kah, grinning:: Oh she has no idea.

She hoped zha would play along and let Maddie go on for a bit.

Is'Kah: Responses

The scene played out even funnier than Azura hoped as Maddie walked straight into Is'Kah, apparently too small to notice. But then the poor girl took a stumble and a tumble onto the deck. Azura could see she was alright, laughed and helped the woman up. 

Madeline: Sorry!, Sorry!! Spirits, I didn't mean to - are you ok‽‽

She was already back to being high strung.

Ada: Never has an interrobang been pronounced so clearly. ::She laughed:: We're alright, Maddie. Glad you are too. And welcome back!

Is'Kah: Responses

Madeline: I didn't see you two... ::Pause:: What are you doing here?

Azura brows pitched upwards and together, sympathetically.

Ada: To see you, Maddie!

Is'Kah: Responses

Madeline: I - ... I wasn't gone that long... was I? :: She paused, processing what they had just said:: Wait - I'm sorry... I just... ::She gestured at her PADD:: I was.. and you two... 

Azura could see the gears grinding in the young woman's head, and pursed her lips to stifle a smile. 

Ada: You have nothing to apologize for. I'm just glad to have a valued member of my team back. And my trusted PADD repairwoman. ::Azura waved "her" PADD she was holding in her off hand::

Ada: Easy trip out here? How long did it take in the shuttle?

Ada: Do we need to sic Is'Kah on anyone?
