After meeting aboard the ship, three Orion women beamed down and raced on a power board. A group of beachgoers noticed the trio and invited them to join them for some local sport and outdoor cooking.
Running closer, Báisè jumped to block the potential spike. Yet, he was a fraction too slow and missed the ball. Diving, Tǎ barely got under the ball, sending it high. Maha winced as the woman hit the sand, getting a mouthful of sand.
Báisè: Nice save!
Tǎ: ::spitting sand out:: Knock it back!
Reine’X: Why do y'all like eating sand ..?::she said playfully, looking at Maha.
Zarax: I’m sure it’s good for them, Reine’X. You shouldn’t tease.
Maha laughed at the friendly jibe.
Tani: Because the sand is so tasty. You should try it sometime!
With a graceful jump, Báisè batted the ball high into the air. The ball’s trajectory was extremely close to the net as he hoped to score a point. Tǎ scrambled back to her feet, preparing for the next volley.
Reine’X: I got it!:: she exclaimed as she ran toward the net to save the ball.
Jelanna tried to get close enough to send the ball back, but it was barely out of her reach, and it landed in the sand.
Zarax: Dangit!
Tani: Come on, Starfleet! You got this!
Báisè: ::chuckling:: No love for us?
Tǎ: She’s rooting for her friends. I would too. Now pay attention!
Reine’X: Also, we are going to prove that we are the better team,:: she said teasingly, laughing.
Maha smiled. She had missed this kind of banter between friends.
Zarax: Not so hasty, my friend. This is their game, and we’re the visitors. Home court advantage, and all that.
It was the Orion side’s turn to serve, with the taller one sending it quickly over the net, but it was easily. Perhaps too easy, as the ball was set up for a perfect spike.
Reine’X: You got it, Zarax! You can do it!
Maha joined Reine’X in cheering for Zarax, who acted quickly.
Zarax: Yes!
It was too early to celebrate; the ball didn’t quite make it. Maha watched the whole thing, but before she could say anything, the other bystanders spoke up.
Tani: So close, but that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
Báisè: What are hoorashoes?
Tǎ: ::laughing:: She said horseshoes. I assume some riding animal from their home world.
Maha smiled and nodded, confirming the hypothesis.
Reine’X: Uff, that was close! Next set?
Zarax: Yes, very good set. You are both great at this game.
Tani: It was a good game.
Báisè: You both are quite good at this already. You might give some of our professional teams out of a job.
Reine’X: Response
Jelanna turned to Maha with a wide smile from the game.
Zarax: Maha, you want to sub in? I’ll take a turn on the bench, if you want.
Tani: Sounds like fun. Perhaps, I’ll get to enjoy more of that tasty sand.
Báisè: We’ll swap out, too.
Tǎ: We can’t hog all the off-worlders’ time after all.
Reine’X: Response
Tani: Lovely.
Maha entered the marked area, toes digging into the sand to get an idea of the firmness.

Tani: Alright, I’ll serve first.
Taking the ball, Maha went to the corner of the court. With a graceful toss and leap, she hit the ball across the net. The other team had to dive for the return, but sent it back towards Reine’X.

Rushing forward, Maha readied herself to assist if it was needed.
Tani: Nice attack.
