(( Shuttle Brünhilde ))

Is’Kah followed Aleron out of the shuttle, expecting to rush to a turbolift due to the yellow alert.

Aleron: Is’Kah, with me. Whatever’s going on, I’m going to need you on the bridge. Commander Sherlock, take Rasmussen and see if you can help with the situation in sickbay. Based on Doctor Doucet’s message, they’ve recovered Charn and he’s being a bit difficult. We need information.

Rasmussen: Responses

The captain turned to Is’Kah.

Aleron: Ready?

Is’Kah: Yes, ma’am.

After tapping her combadge, the Captain spoke to the computer.

Aleron: Computer, emergency site-to-site transport. Two to beam directly to the bridge. Authorization Aleron Delta-Six-Seven.

((Bridge, Deck 1USS Valkyrie, Tavros III orbit ))

The pair were engulfed in the transporter beam before reappearing on the bridge. Is’Kah moved to zhen station while the tactical officer moved to the secondary station. After signing in, a holo-stool appeared, granting zhen full access to the station. Zha started reviewing the duty log to catch up on the situation.

Aleron: Report, Commander.

T’Ama: Sensors have detected at least one obfuscated ship in the vicinity. Threat level unknown. Possibly not using a true cloaking technology, and instead using a form of optical camouflage helped by sensor scrambling.

Is’Kah: Fascinating. I wonder if it’s a home brew cloak.

Lennai: Response

The captain took her seat.

Aleron: Have they attempted any communications?

Neshala: None so far, Captain.

T’Ama: We also have seven people unconscious in Sickbay that we rescued from cargo containers in a debris field near the listening post. The ship that came to retrieve them had a more rudimentary form of optical camouflage.

Is’Kah: Perhaps they belong to the Concordance?

The Trican started reviewing the sensor logs from just before the emergency beam out.

Aleron / Lennai: Responses

T’Ama: It is possible this is related. One of the people we rescued was Charn.

That information drew Is’Kah’s attention from the logs. That puzzle piece filled in a lot of the blanks.

Is’Kah: That explains why no one would let us speak with him, and their extreme fear, Captain.

Aleron / Lennai: Responses

T’Ama: The listening post was destroyed when the debris field expanded suddenly. I would have attempted to recover some of it but Commander Ada sustained life threatening injuries that required us to return to the Valkyrie. She survived.

Is’Kah felt a surge of fury fill her upon hearing that. Azura getting hurt would explain the fear for someone’s life that Ghee’looth felt. Zha would need to talk to the commander about adding a telepathic link if she’s going to be hurt on missions. Nothing like zha had with zhen partner, but the hybrid would feel better knowing the health of the people zha cared for.

Stifling a grow, zha shook zhen head to clear it before returning to the logs. It didn’t make a lot of sense that the ship didn’t pick up the cloaked ship, even with sensor scrambling. They had state of the art sensors, the latest technology out of the Federation labs, after all.

Aleron / Lennai:

The hybrid’s head throbbed, leaving zhen wondering if it was because of the planet or something else. Is’Kah suspected it was something else, judging by the raw anger that zha couldn’t clear, demanding to be release. The bridge felt so hot that sweat beaded at zhen temples, but at the same time, the chill to keep the air conferrable for most humanoids filled zhen bones.

An urge filled the Trican causing zhen to close zhen eyes for a moment to steady zhenself. Now was not the time to bite someone, even if zhen favorite target was a meter away from zhen. Is’Kah’s eyes shot open, wondering where that thought had come from. Why would zha want to bite T’Ama? The First Officer wasn’t even Borg at the moment, nor was she a threat to anyone. Besides, zha had been given strict orders not to do it ever again.

Exhaling slowly, Is’Kah opened another sensor log, there had to be something there. Zha hoped the distraction would help focus zhen anger in the correct direction. There wasn’t anything in that log either, causing the Trican to purse zhen lips before speaking in a monotone.

Is’Kah: Commander, are you aware of any Ion surges that didn’t have any explanation?

Aleron / T’Ama / Lennai:

Is’Kah: I see. Captain, if they are using optical camo and sensor scrambling they might not think to scramble their drive trails. Perhaps science could find it and see if it leads to a blank spot in our sensors?

Aleron / T’Ama / Lennai:

Is’Kah: It also might be possible to detect them via the solar wind. Locate any spots that deflect it without explanation.

Aleron / T’Ama / Lennai:
