(( Outskirts of Tseraiq, Ikiagann Region, Aelkuun ))
Strathmore: Do we know you?
The smile vanished from the Guide’s face before quickly returning.
Guide: No, not that I’m aware of. What makes you say that?
Lennai: You must have a familiar face. ::She smiled politely.::
Arthur furrowed his brow for a moment before relaxing.
Strathmore: Right.
The Guide walked them over to a set of life jackets. They were quite large and dark in color.
Guide: I can imagine Starfleet officers meet so many people in their travels. There’s bound to be a few that seem similar.
oO I suppose that’s true. Oo
Lennai: Oh, okay. Right.. can't forget the life jacket.
Vaysha picked up one of the life jackets offered and began to put it on. Vaysha chuckled before turning to Arthur. Arthur laughed too as he put on his life jacket as well.
Strathmore: An oversized hat and an oversized life jacket. If you keep this up and you’re going to feel like you're shrinking.
The Guide came up behind Arthur and roughly tightened the straps on his life jacket. Arthur’s lifejacket was so large that it made it almost difficult to move his upper body. The Guide had also put on his own life jacket, but it was much smaller.
oO His seems a bit more practical than what he gave us. Oo
Guide: You’re secure. Can’t have these falling off now, can we?
Lennai: How far will we be canoeing today? Anywhere on the itinerary specifically?
Guide: Oh, we’ll be traveling quite far to a remote region of Ikiagann. Few know of it, but I will show you the way.
Arthur felt his anxiety welling. Remote regions weren’t something he enjoyed.
oO Menlale… Oo
But he buried that feeling. This was supposed to be fun. He couldn’t spoil Vaysha’s experience.
Strathmore: That sounds like quite the adventure.
Guide: Oh, it will be. Your life is about to get much better.
That phrase. He had heard that before too. It must have been a long time ago–
Lennai: Response
Strathmore: Right, the canoe.
Arthur, the Guide, and Vaysha pushed the canoe through the sand and into the water, before hopping in, paddles in hand. The Guide sat right behind the bow and faced the pair while Vaysha sat near the stern. Arthur as usual was right in the middle of things. He paddled on until they made it far enough from shore. The Guide pointed out to sea.
Guide: Do you see that mist there? Beyond that is our destination.
Lennai: Response
Strathmore: Time for that workout.
Guide: Oh, yes, everything will work out.
Arthur tilted his head at him.
oO Not quite what I meant. Oo
