[PNPC] Ensign T'Ashaya- Meeting the Cheif

Today was T’Ashaya’s first day following her reassignment to a new ship. While she had found her year at Utopia Planitia rewarding, being confined to a single location did not suit her purposes. She was therefore pleased to learn that her transfer to the USS Valkyrie-A, an Achilles-class vessel, had been approved.
From the information available to her, it appeared that most of the crew had transferred together from another ship, the Chin’toka. Many of them would already be familiar with one another, leaving her something of an outsider, though such circumstances were not unexpected during a transfer.
T’Ashaya reasoned it would be logical to introduce herself to her department chief. It was also her understanding that the Chin’toka had not been equipped with a quantum slipstream drive, whereas the Valkyrie-A was. Her training and experience with quantum slipstream technology would likely be of benefit to the department.
T’Ashaya rang the chime, and upon receiving the acknowledgement, entered the office. She folded her hands behind her back as she regarded the Andorian.
T’Ashaya: Greetings, Lieutenant. Ensign T’Ashaya reporting for duty.

T’Ashaya: I look forward to being a part of the team, Lieutenant. What are the tasks that need to be done?
T’Ashaya was unsure whether Xiron was someone who engaged in much small talk, but experience had taught her that it was often best to take the lead in a conversation to ensure it remained fruitful and engaging.
Xiron: Response
T’Ashaya: It would be logical to inform you that my specialization is in warp field theory. I am aware that the Chin’toka, an Akira-class vessel, was not equipped with a quantum slipstream drive. I have participated in multiple QSD installations across several ships. Should you determine it to be necessary, I am prepared to provide my expertise to you or to members of the department who may be less familiar with the system, in order to improve operational efficiency.
