(( Transporter Room 3, Deck 8 ))
Strathmore: Energize.
The Zaldan slid an option on the LCARS upwards before light enveloped the pair. Then as suddenly as the light came, it left and what remained was Aelkuun.
(( Outskirts of Tseraiq, Ikiagann Region, Aelkuun ))
As the two appeared, the area around them became prevalent. A coastal beach area, but further inland was a large beautiful forest of red trees.
Lennai: Aaaaand here we are.
There was a large gathering of people, K’tsélai to be certain, the lutrine-like species native to Aelkuun. The gathering was here for a purpose naturally, with several small boats that resembled canoes littered about the area with paddles and a big sign that indicated what it was. Arthur spoke it out loud.
Strathmore: I cannot read the native language, but I assume this is where we get our boat? I will admit, I haven’t hit the gym in awhile.
oO Another thing for my to-do list. Oo
Lennai: Oh yes. Time to get that upper-body workout in. Besides, it'll be fun! See the area, interact with the locals.
Strathmore: No, no, it will be a grand ole time. I don’t need convincing. You couldn’t ask for a better day for it.
The landscape was beautiful. The weather was mild. This would be his best shore leave yet. He could feel it.
Lennai: Well, I wish it was warmer, but what is the old Terran saying? 'Beggars can't be choosers'? ::Brief pause, followed by whispering.:: Hey, look over there. Is that someone from the Valkyrie?
Arthur looked over towards the canoes. There was a man there. He looked human with slicked back hair, but as he approached in a lifejacket and fisherman’s pants and a waving arm, Arthur saw that he wasn’t human… or was he? Arthur couldn’t tell what this man was, but he looked… strange. He came closer with a wide grin and a confident stride.
Strathmore: Can I help you, my friend?
The man laughed. He laughed for a good long while before finally stopping. Arthur side-eyed Vaysha.
oO I didn’t realize I was that funny. Oo
Guide: I should be asking you that question.
Lennai: Response
Guide: That’s me, I’m the one who will be showing you the wonders of Aelkuun.
oO I thought I would be K’tsélai. Huh. Well, can’t wait to see what he’ll show us. Oo
Strathmore: Alright, lead on.
Guide: You don’t have to tell me twice.
He gave them a cheery stare and beckoned the pair to the canoes. Arthur examined him.
oO There’s something familiar about him… Oo
Lennai: Response
Arthur nodded. He couldn’t resist asking their guide.
Strathmore: Do we know you?
The smile vanished from the Guide’s face before quickly returning.
Guide: No, not that I’m aware of. What makes you say that?
