Tani entered the lounge on Deck 7, and the smell of fresh coffee instantly hit her. The scent reminded her of those long nights at the University of Texas at Austin, writing so many essays. The place was lightly decorated, with square tables and paintings along the bulkheads where the booths were. The room was much busier here than on the Chin’toka; then again, this ship had nearly twice the crew.

She stood at 170 cm (5’7), with long black hair flowing down her back and black lipstick. She wore a black long-sleeve dress, with one shoulder exposed and a 4 cm collar wrapped around the top. The fabric changed at the transition from the chest to the stomach to red plaid, with corset-like strings across her stomach, while her green legs were covered in sheer black pantyhose, and she wore mid-heel shoes.

After getting a mocha latte and a lemon poppyseed muffin, Maha scanned the room to find a seat. She felt a little curious when she saw a fellow Orion woman sitting at a table. If she remembered right, they were part of the new crew that filled the slots the old crew didn’t. She was Ensign Vaysha Lennai, a helm officer.

She was about to speak with her when two more Orion officers entered. Smiling, Maha changed directions to speak with them.

Tani: Hello, I’m Maha Tani.

Reine'X/Zarax: Response

Tani: Pleasure to meet you both. I was about to introduce myself to the other Orion officer over there. Would you care to join me?

Reine'X/Zarax: Response

Tani: Lovely.

Once the pair were ready, Maha walked over to Lennai, giving her the best reporter smile she had.

Tani: Hello there, I’m Maha Tani, Federation News Service.

Vaysha/Reine'X/Zarax: Response

Tani: Would you mind if we joined you and got to know each other?

Vaysha/Reine'X/Zarax: Response

Tani: Lovely. I’m from the Bronx, New York City, Earth. What about the three of you?

She asked while taking a seat. While waiting for a response, she took a sip of her drink, the mocha flavor exploding over her tongue.
