(( Reine'X' quarters, Deck 7, USS Valkyrie - A))
Reine’X was still in her uniform when she received a communiqué from the first officer. She was to report to her office as soon as possible. The tall Orion stood up and, without much thought, proceeded to leave her room.
(( First Officer’s Office, Deck 1, USS Valkyrie-A ))
The Orion pressed the door's chime.
T’Ama: Enter.
The doors hissed open ,and Reine'X entered.
Reine’X: Reporting as ordered, Sir ::she said, placing her hands behind her back and standing at attention.
The First Officer, Lieutenant Commander T’Ama, was a young-looking Vulcan/El-Aurian female (Reine’X had finally done her homework and researched the senior staff of the Valkyrie). She seemed emotionless, initially with her boots up on her desk.
T’Ama: Ensign Reine’X! Please have a seat. I’m Lieutenant Commander T’Ama. Welcome to the Valkyrie.
Reine’X: Thank you, sir.::she proceeded to sit down.
T’Ama: You’re not in trouble, I don’t think. I called you up here because there seems to have been some mix up with your paperwork, and you were assigned as a medical officer - but you have no medical training, is that correct?
Reine’X didn’t think too much of it; she was kind of expecting a similar call. After all, none of the senior staff had greeted her on the ship officially yet.
Reine’X: I majored in Counselling.
T’Ama: A Klingon trained counselor?
A reasonable assumption, but no.
Reine’X: No, Sir. Starfleet Academy.::beat::Klingons do not have counsellors. oOAt least not on Klingon ships.Oo In fact, studying medicine at Klingon Academy can be somewhat difficult.
They just don’t appreciate doctors, and even less psychologists or counsellors, as much as the Federation does.
T’Ama: Response
Reine’X kept a neutral expression, as she noticed that T’Ama had the same.
T’Ama: Response
