Lieutenant Seleya- Goodbyes and new Opportunites

Seleya had just settled in for her evening, flicking through her PADD for something to read. Things with Amity were starting to pick up as Seleya had attended a few duties now that she had recovered and was trying to busy herself during the day. Though before she could get started Seleya heard a chirp on her comm badge.
Comms Officer: =/\= Lieutenant Seleya, I have a Captain Aleron reaching out to you. =/\=
Seleya hummed, she was sure she would be hearing from her captain soon enough given her unexpected arrival in the Delta Quadrant.
Seleya: =/\= Thank you, patch her through =/\=
Seleya stood up and made her way over to the console in her room where she saw the image of Isara pop up. Seleya dipped her head.
Seleya: Greetings Captain.
Aleron: It’s good to see you again, Seleya. I hope you were successful?
Seleya rolled her neck. She did get the intel on a secret Vaadwaur weapons facility, and coordinates that may lead to one of the Vaadwaur secret colonies. And most importantly, Seleya had survived her kidnapping. Though she wasn’t sure how much she could say at the moment so she just nodded again.
Seleya: Yes, more so than I thought. Things on the still are still quite busy.
Aleron: Well, I don’t know if Captain Ukinix has had the chance to brief you yet, but I wanted to reach out personally. I just received word from Starfleet Command that your temporary assignment on Amity is now permanent.
Seleya was silent for a few moments. She had not been informed of this yet. As far as she was aware was going to catch the next ship back. But she could understand the logic given the increased threat, and since the station didn’t have an intel department. She would be the nearest potential officer, at least an officer that was in Starfleet.
Seleya: Ah, I had no idea, Captain. I suppose I will need to make arrangements for my possessions.
Aleron: Well, Seleya, I must say this is quite annoying for another reason that you might think. Generally, I like to promote my officers in person.
There was another brief moment of silence as it was one surprise after another. She wasn’t sure she even heard that correctly.
Seleya: Promotion, Captain?
Aleron: Yes, promotion. Based on your performance reports, and your performance during the Stillwater incident, I decided you more than earned a promotion. Congratulations, Lieutenant Seleya.
Seleya was at a loss for words, but she gave a brief smile to Aleron and dipped her head.
Seleya: Thank you Captain. I am honored.
Aleron: It seems like our micro-wormhole might be closing, so I am going to have to go. Congratulations again, and best of luck on your new assignment. Aleron out.
Seleya: Thank you again, Captain, for everything. I wish the Valkyrie well, and be safe.
And with that the chat was cut too short. Seleya leaned back into her chair and let out a long breath. Intelligence on a station versus a ship was an entirely different beast, and Seleya was nervous given that this station had not had an intel department before.
