(( Crash site, Aelkuun ))
Reine’X::whispering to Gideon:: I told you I can handle this.
Hughes: You certainly did Ensign Reine’X. ::hissing in discomfort as he tried to work around the superheated metal to seal the leaking deuterium.:: And now ::grunting with effort as he hauled a piece of the hull out of his way:: I’m going to keep my promise and not let this hunk of junk vaporize us all. ::he glanced at her long enough to nod:: Thanks for saving my butt.
Reine'X : Don't even mention it.::she said casually:: and it's just Reine'X.
Truth be told, she enjoyed the adrenaline. Life aboard Klingon vessels had been very different. There, a friendly spar before breakfast was almost a daily ritual. Starfleet was entirely different.
Ada: Almost to the treeline...
Injured person: Did you say Starfleet? I used to...
Reine’X::now scanning the injured person, only moments later:: Indeed, he has minor head wounds, but both of his legs are severely broken. He won't be able to walk, ma'am.
Injured person: She.
Ada: Imas? How..?
Reine’X: I would say so. We should hurry.
Ada: =/\= Ada to Valkyrie, one to beam directly to sickbay. If you can, beam unconscious people around the shuttle to sickbay. =/\=
Ada: ::To Hughes:: Any other lifesigns in that shuttle?
Gideon: Just one more ma’am. ::To Reine’X:: Can you tell if they are conscious or not? Can we just beam them directly to sickbay as well?
Reine'X::opening her medical tricorder and scanning the shuttle:: Indeed, there is one more person, but they are unconscious. If there is no interference from the shuttle's systems, Valkyrie should be able to lock onto their pattern and beam them directly to Sickbay as well.
=/\=
Reine'X to Sickbay.::she tapped her commbadge:: You will receive four persons. A conscious female Cardassian with cranial trauma and bilateral leg fractures, as well as three unconscious individuals. One of them was stunned with a phaser, and will most likely regain consciousness very soon.=/\=
Sickbay: =/\= Acknowledged=/\=
Ada: Did you stop the leak? Is it stabilized?
Gideon: Yes ma’am, the deuterium leak is contained at least until we can get a full team of engineers down here to assess the full damage.
Reine'X: There is nothing more for us to do here, ma'am. We can return to the ship and question our new friends.
It did not go unnoticed by Reine'X that Ada knew the Cardassian woman. She was curious to learn more, but thought it would perhaps be better to wait until they were back on the ship.
Ada: Then let's get to it and get out of here.
Gideon: Aye ma’am.
Reine'X: Agreed.
Gideon: I’ll notify the Acting Chief Engineer of the crash site as soon as we are on board the Valkyrie. We may want to coordinate efforts with the local authorities as well.
Reine'X::That's sensible. Contacting the local authorities is a job for our Chief of Security, but technically, as a Counselor, I should be involved as well. I will coordinate with Lieutenant Is'Kah...::turning to Ada:: Unless you would prefer to do it, ma'am.
She made a mental note to do so once aboard the Valkyrie, in case Commander Ada did not wish to handle it herself.
Ada: Response
Gideon: What are Cardassians doing all the way out here in the Solerian Sector? And who was that woman? ::To Ada:: You seemed to be personally acquainted with her ma’am?
Those were all questions Reine'X was wondering as well. She considered asking the K'tsélai if they knew anything about the Cardassians on their planet, although she doubted they would. It seemed to her that there was much more going on, and that she was currently missing some vital information. She would ask Is'Kah.
Ada:
Response
Reine’X: And I can certainly assist in Sickbay and talk to them.::beat:: I promise I will go easy on our visitors this time.
oOMaybe the Cardassian I neutralized did not see my face. I can talk to the female calmly and try to get some information.Oo
Reine'X knew there was very little chance that the Cardassian had not seen her. Oh well...
Gideon: ::Nodding in understanding:: You’re right. We can sort this out on board the Valkyrie.
Ada:?
Reine’X: I'm ready.::she said to the Commander.
Gideon:?
Reine'X moved closer to her colleagues, ready to be beamed directly to Sickbay. She had a few scratches, but nothing major, and would need to change and take a shower later. For now, it was more important to her to see if any of their visitors were willing to talk. At least two would be awake. And what about their Commander knowing the Cardassian woman..? As a new Counselor, she wanted to be present for the questioning.
((OOC: The scene for Reine'X will continue in Sickbay- if we are done on the planet))
