(( Main Sickbay, Deck 5, USS Valkyrie-A ))
Strathmore: And what broker was that again?
Charn: ::dramatically sighing:: Mickey Five-arms. Kid, you work in a med bay--get your ears checked.
oO Can he not see how busy I am?! Oo
Arthur moved over to the Cullum who appeared to have fallen back asleep. Arthur tapped him to assure he had not gone back into his coma. Thankfully, his stony form awoke again.
oO Do not scare me like that, my friend. Oo
Sherlock: Response
Geron: If it helps, I can vouch for their trustworthiness.
Charn: ::at the room:: Will somebody please feed me? I'm starving.
oO Empathy, Arthur. Utmost empathy always. After I am done here, I can get him some food. Oo
Strathmore: I’d say that is a fine recommendation. ::To Sherlock:: We shall work with them then?
Sherlock: Response
Reine'X: Good, we got all the information for now.
Doucet: Great. Sounds like we’re just about all set then. Anything else we need or shall we get started on the mass replication?
Reine'X: That would be great, as we can start distributing it among our crew first. I think pretty much everyone is already growing weary of the headaches and other inconveniences.
Sherlock: Response
Arthur continued pacing around the room and performing his duties.
Strathmore: Aye, aye.
Charn: Look, can I go?
Doucet: You got it, boss.
Charn stood up.
Charn: I'm going to wander around the ship, grabbing people by the shoulders in a frenzy to ask where I can find food. Or one of you can take me somewhere. I'll be on good behavior, honest. I mean, I guess I'm stuck with you all now... ::He sneered at their uniforms:: Don't tell me I have to wear one of those.
Sherlock: Response
Arthur sighed.
oO This is going to have to be my responsibility isn’t it? Oo
Arthur forced a smile and stopped what he was doing. He went up to Charn.
Strathmore: I think this is the beginning of a marvelous friendship, Mister Charn. Let us go get some food, eh? I am going to introduce you to some classic Bajoran hasperat.
Whether Arthur actually believed his own words was another matter entirely.
Reine'X: Sounds good.
Arthur spent the rest of his shift playing host. By the time he was done, he had surely walked thirty kilometers. His feet ached. He did not even have time to examine his new quarters. He simply passed out in his bed. It was now his time to sleep.
