(( Holodeck 3, Deck 5, USS Valkyrie-A ))
It had been too long. Far too long since she had been to an event like this. The last time had been two whole entire years ago, in fact, when Jalana had thrown a party in a ballroom made entirely of ice. While she had it was meant to be casual, absolutely everyone had come to it decked out to the nines.
This invitation had said “extravagantly formal” and T’Ama had chosen to go with a black dress that glinted when the light hit it. The back was open down to the small of her back, and hugged her tight through the hips until it flared out slightly into ruffles that hung to her knees. A cluster of golden leaves ran down from her left shoulder across the dress, another cluster on the bustle, both breaking up into scattered gold leaves on the skirt. Her dark hair was slicked back, pulled into a low bun with a golden flower adorning it, leaving her pointed ears showing with three gold hoops marching up each lobe. Her right eye was a solid, sparkling gold instead of looking normal. Her three inch nude colored heels designed to elongate the lines of her legs rather than distract, made her the still totally normal height of 5’9”.
Seleya however was absurdly tall, towering at what had to be nearly a foot over her head. Her dress of course was beautiful in an ethereal sort of way, but T’Ama cranked her head all the back to look up at her as she arrived.
T’Ama: I guess this is what it feels like to be Is’Kah…
She didn’t love it.
Seleya: Welcome everyone, feel free to make yourself comfortable. There are refreshments available, and if you brought a gift there is a table off to the right where you can place them.
T’Ama looked around to the table where a few wrapped gifts were placed. She hadn’t brought a gift.
T’Ama: Well that was not mentioned on the invitation.
Any: Response
Seleya: You all look great. Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoy yourselves.
Much like the ice ballroom on Arentis, this snowy forest was not as cold as it should have been. The atmosphere was quite charming, though.
T’Ama: Thank you. It’s a nice setting, I like the aurora. Which way is the dance floor?
Any: Response
Seleya: Off to the left is the floor for dancing. I just programmed the holodeck to make it look like ice, but don’t worry, it’s not actually ice. If you fall, I am not to blame.
T’Ama: Riiiight. Well I’m going to hit up the bar first.
Any: Response
(OOC: Splitting the scene up here, but I’m going to continue leaving any tags.)
She moved off in the direction of the bar, moving with the commanding grace of both a dancer and a Vulcan. Once there she ordered an Irish Mudslide, which took a few moments to make because where was the magic in just poofing one into existence over making holograms go through the motions?
Turning away from the bar with the first sip of the chocolatey drink on her lips, she spotted a man with a very distinctive shock of white hair and mismatched eyes that reminded her of husky dogs.
T’Ama: You’re the new doctor, right?
Dasal: response

T’Ama: Well, I came to dance. After I finish this drink.
