(( Holodeck 3, Deck 5, USS Valkyrie-A ))
Aine was never sure about attending social events like this winter ball that Seleya had sent out invitations for. Especially the "extravagantly formal" descriptor for the dress code. Extravagant was something Aine wasn't even sure she could pull off. She just never knew, or at least was nervous about assuming, what was classy or formal...outside of her dress uniform. But she'd found something she liked. It was baby blue with lace over the bust of the dress, extending up to the neckline and draping over her shoulders.
When she made her way into the holodeck the location created by Seleya was serene. An aurora even glistened in the night sky, and true winter scene, minus the cold. Nervously she joined in, unsure of how she looked. Others were already milling about.
Seleya: Welcome everyone, feel free to make yourself comfortable. There are refreshments available, and if you brought a gift there is a table off to the right where you can place them.
T’Ama: Well that was not mentioned on the invitation.
Aine looked over at T'Ama, grinning as she shook her head. It was definitely an old Earth custom that Seleya must have looked up.
Sherlock: I don't think it's required.
Any: Response
Seleya: You all look great. Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoy yourselves.
T’Ama: Thank you. It’s a nice setting, I like the aurora. Which way is the dance floor?
Any: Response
Seleya: Off to the left is the floor for dancing. I just programmed the holodeck to make it look like ice, but don’t worry, it’s not actually ice. If you fall, I am not to blame.
T’Ama: Riiiight. Well I’m going to hit up the bar first.
Sherlock: I'll be at the buffet.
Any: Response
((OOC: Moving off to eat if anyone wants to join. Don't be afraid to move around between seperate scenes.))
She perused the smorgasbord of foods that were made available. The variety was astounding, coming from cultures from all corners of the Federation and all were done up nicely.
Any: response
Sherlock: I don't even know where to start. Probably with something more familiar. Or, maybe I'll try something new.
Any: response
