Finally, Arthur had some free time. There were no patients to tend to, no crewmates to counsel, and no Charn to manage. He had read the file on the new planet they were stopping at. Aelkuun had an oceanic climate, which was obvious because it was 89% water. Due to that and the nature of shoreleave, Arthur had changed out of his uniform and into a blue fisherman’s sweater courtesy of his quarters’ replicator. 

oO The color blue is inescapable it seems. Oo

He had also replicated something else. It was a gift for Vaysha. They would actually get to hang out at last.

Arthur waited in front of her door with her gift behind his back. The door opened and Vaysha appeared in the portal. She wore a black leather jacket with an oversized red sweater underneath and was already wearing sunglasses.

oO Classic Vaysha. Oo

Arthur could not hide his excitement for their adventure.

Strathmore: You ready?

She flipped down her sunglasses and looked him up and down.

Lennai: Response

Strathmore: Why thank you! I got something for you.

Arthur then revealed the gift. It was a very large straw hat.

Lennai: Response

Arthur laughed.

Strathmore: I specified to the replicator to double the usual size. Why better for a perfect day out on a new world.

Lennai: Response
