Lt. Katsim Peri - "Hallway Rendezvous"

The light faded and once again Peri found herself faced with the slick, grey modernity of Starfleet technology. Behind a console stood the form of the transporter chief, unfamiliar to her save for the brief meeting before her trip down to Earth. He gave her a smile and she nodded, then offered him a small one of her own before she reached up to scritch Echo, then made her way outside.
The difference between the outdoors and the temperature on the ship was stark. Though the day had been beautiful, the sun bright, it had been chilly for the hybrid, who was rather cold natured, necessitating long sleeves and pants, though the sort that were made for the activity in which she had engaged. By comparison, the Oumuamua was warm, but still cooler than her preferred temperature, so Peri was still quite happy her arms were covered.
She hadn’t been paying too much attention, her thoughts still ruminating on various matters, past and present, even those upon the future. The shadow of a form came upon her suddenly and she stopped when she finally took note of it, startled at first, then relaxing as that surprise faded away.
Katsim: Pardon.
She offered softly, though she had not come close to colliding with the other person. Echo’s dark eyes turned to the newcomer and she chirped, as if in greeting.
Any: ?
Glancing back down the hallway, the doors to the transporter room were no longer in sight, the walls curved to hide them from view.
Katsim: I was just visiting Earth.
As were most of the people on the ship. Her idea to do so was nothing new and unique, though there were many other places to visit and they certainly couldn’t see all of the planet in the time that they had there.
Any: ?
Warm, brown eyes returned to settle back upon the other person. They had been headed in the opposition direction, toward the transporter room, and her curiosity spurred the next question.
Katsim: Are you going there?
