They started crawling and Tito kept attentive to any crossings. They would need to turn left, before going back down.

Tito: Left and down would leave us inside. Maybe we keep going after turning so we get deeper in the room?

Herrick nodded.

Herrick: We’ll still need to override the security lockout.

That would be a problem they would worry about when they got there.
Tito nodded and they quietly kept crawling.
It was a challenge, as both him and Herrick were above average height, and physically fit.

They ended up near the access hatch and Tito whispered.

Tito: We need to be fast once we open the hatch.

Commander Herrick nodded and reached for the panel, which apparently didn't cooperate.

Herrick: Locked.

Tito: There must be a way to override it.

Herrick had some work to open the panel, but was ultimately successful.

Herrick: Do you have something I can use to short-circuit this?

Tito arched an eyebrow and gave the Commander a dead panel look. Aside from the short tube he wasn’t exactly carrying anything more useful.

Or was he?

Thinking quickly he reached for one of his pips, “demoting” himself to Ensign again.

Tito: Try this.

If the metal pip didn’t do the job, his combadge would certainly do it, the reason he didn’t offer it to Herrick was that he didn’t want to lose it just yet.
But apparently the simple pip did the job and the latch unsealed.

Herrick: I’ll enter first; you follow and try to get that door open.

Tito nodded and quietly muttered.

Tito: Right behind you Sir.

Commander Herrick opened the hatch and went down legs first. Tito knew something was wrong when he heard the tearing sound of something.
When he was about to follow the Commander, Tito realized what it was as he got tangled with the Commander’s outfit going down.

He dropped not really knowing where and quickly dropped the tube as he shredded what was left of the Commander's dress.

Herrick: Er… Exactly what’s going on here?

Stranger 1: Who are you?

Stranger 2:  What…

Tito quickly straightened himself and saw three men. One laying on the floor, another next to him and a third holding a phaser. Luckily everyone was surprised with Herrick’s arrival, posture and… Well, even Tito was admittedly surprised with the Commander’s… Presentation… To choose a nice term.

He focused on the man carrying the phaser and now that he had dropped his tube he was unarmed. And honestly they had lost the element of surprise.
Well not lost, just… Maybe… Overused…

Tito didn’t know what to do or say, but he had to do something. He remembered the lesson “do something, wrong or right just do something”

Tito: Wait no… Get away from him.

The three Strangers looked curiously at Tito, as if they only now noticed them.

Herrick: Response

Tito quickly placed himself in front of Commander Herrick and between the strangers.

Tito: I am Vitor Tito, Starfleet officer. Who are you all?

The Strangers began to react. The one with the phaser pointed at him and replied.

Nat: I’m Nat

The one that was next to the fallen one stood up and looked between Tito, Herrick and Nat.

Ned: I’m Ned. ::pointing down:: And that’s Neddy.

Herrick: Response

Tito stepped closer to Nat and raised his hand.

Tito: Ignore him, he is out of his mind and wits, he thinks he’s a Q. Hand me your phaser so I can stun him.

Tito hoped Herrick could play the part. But he was now realizing he should have taken another course of action.
Nat stepped back and kept pointing at Tito as Ned looked confused between them.
Even Neddy who was likely hurt turned his head, trying to understand the confusion.

Nat: A what?

Ned: Not a what a cue.

Neddy slowly sat down and looked at Herrick.

Neddy: There’s no cue there.

Tito was the one looking confused between Nat, Ned and Neddy, and then at Commander Herrick. If Tito had a better sense of humor he would be laughing now.

Herrick: Response
