(( Canyon outside Chi-Ree, North Wadi, Xial, Vulcan ))

Jehe: Come now doctor, where is your sense of adventure?

Alieth: ::Hopping back to the Vai-sehlat:: Oh, come on doctor, we have only just made our first move.

del Vedova: Response

Squaring her shoulder, Saja ruffled the top of the beast's hair, earning a snort from the selhat. It didn't seem perturbed however, so she did her best to actually think positive, and turned to face Alieth.

Jehe: Do they have names? Is there something we should call each of them?

Alieth: They have names, indeed :: Pointing to the animal she was riding:: This is Sun-Touched :: Pointing to the two riderless animals:: Those are White-Paws and Cub.

Jehe: Cub eh? Sounds...cute.

del Vedova: Response?

She wiggled her fingers at the dozing sehlat, and watched as the diminutive Vulcan saddled up to the commander.

Alieth: This is Huntress, the pack leader. You have picked a fine mount, doctor, she is the fiercest of them all.

Jehe: Huntress eh? No pressure doc. ::Despite the gap in their ranks, the trio was on shore leave. A little teasing of a superior officer seemed in order.::

del Vedova: Response.

As Alieth approached, Saja sat a bit straighter on her mount, the other doctor's question going unanswered. She watched the Vulcan, saw the furrow on the brow and awaited a name with baited breath.

Alieth: And this is Bob.

Jehe: They...what? Bob?

She glanced down, eyebrows climbing up toward the wrap of cloth that contained her crinkly red coiffure.

Jehe: Really?

del Vedova: Response?

Alieth: It is certainly unusual, but Vai-sehlat choose their own names, so there must have been a story behind it.

Jehe: Clearly this poor creature spent too much time around Humans. Bob. Well. It's nice to meet you Bob. Some of the nicest humans I ever met were named Bob. ::There was a pause.:: Of course, there was that p'taq second year...he was named Bob too.

Saja pursed her lips for a moment, then ran her hand over the sehlats fur.

Jehe: You're not a p'taq are you? No you're not.

del Vedova: Response

Jehe: What? Klingon's have a way with words. I possess a verbose collection of colorful metaphors to employ as called for.

As they spoke, one of the animals roared spiritedly and, as if on cue, they all set off northwards, towards the gateway to the desert. It was clear to Saja that the beast that bore her up clearly wanted to follow.

Alieth: They seem to be eager to run. Why not spice it up with a race, will you join in?

Jehe: I don't think Bob here is going to give me much of a cho-oooice!

As if scripted, the sehlat vibrated, a rolling gesture that swept from its neck all the way back to its bum, shaking Saja where she sat, before it took off after the pack.

Jehe: BOB!

As she was hauled off, she could just make out the others behind her, falling into pace.

Alieth/del Vedova: Response
