((Armoury, Deck 4, USS Thor)) Vharo would just have to add snarky backtalk from their thief to the growing list of things trying her patience on what was supposed to be her day off. At very least they'd overplayed their hand slightly, if they were too busy watching her and R'Karr then it stands to reason they were too busy to try and escape.
Now all she needed was a way out, luckily for her R'Karr had entertained her unorthodox methods so far, so between the two of them there was bound to be a plan or something they could tell people was the plan later at the disciplinary hearing.
Vharo clicked on her PADD's light after a few moments of darkness, partially illuminating the room once more as she sat it on the table in the center of room to have a more civilized conversation.
Vharo: Okay, let's break this down. They have successfully wiped the records and planted a trap, this we agree was to buy time. We know the weapon signal is still aboard and allegedly coming from Deck 14. Our communications are being intercepted and re-routed. ::She squinted into the darkness, pausing for a moment:: Maybe we are overthinking this, we are assuming our lone power signature is a misdirection which is the smart thing to assume but they would have to be relatively close to intercept and redirect our communication traffic or more likely somewhere with access to the communication protocols.
R'Karr: If it was me, I’d find an area that wasn’t well trafficked and gave me essential access.
Vharo dipped her head in agreement with her fellow Ensign as she pulled up the ship's blueprints for the pair to see. She scrolled over to their offending deck before circling the Aux computer core. Vharo: Rarely used and has most of the essential access required to do what we've seen even with the primary online. It would also explain our jumbled signal, the room is heavily screened. If this was me, that's where I'd be. R’Karr: But, being locked in the armoury, how are we going to get there?
A short sharp sigh left the intelligence officer as she shot a glance at the sealed armory door. It'd been hardlined and her 'controlled' destruction of the power conduit likely didn't help, it was a non-factor. The vents in the Armory weren't about to fit either of them and she didn't like her future if she blew out a reinforced bulkhead even if it was for a good cause so that left waiting or... Vharo: The emergency transporter. ::she shot a glance at R'Karr before moving her PADD quickly:: Do stay with me on this, if we can capture and redirect the emergency signal we can get out of here. I can't promise accuracy but anywhere else is better than here currently
Vharo frowned briefly as the lights flickered back to life, they were out of time. At the very least they had a plan, though in the scheme of plans this one was stretching the definition a touch. R’Karr: (looking at the camera) Ready or not, here we come.
Vharo suppressed her amused huff at the words from her fellow officer as she pointed at the central console all the while she averted her gaze back down at her PADD.
oO Here we come indeed. Hopefully. Oo
Vharo: There are about three different regulations on why this is a poor idea so I hope you don't get nervous when talking to senior officers. Though for the moment you should be able to divert enough power to the system for me to capture the signal. Once I have it, you should have control for a few seconds. I trust you remember your area prefixes.
Vharo hoped she sounded more confident in their plan then she felt, in theory it was completely safe but redirection of the signal opened up the box of problems and even if it worked it might send them across the ship or simply three feet to the right in the same room. Vharo: Ready when you are. R’Karr: Response.
Vharo grimaced as she saw the emergency transporter flicker to life in a large bloom of energy, if their mystery guest hadn't picked up their plan yet then that influx should've done it. Though such a concern was soon overshadowed by other more pressing issues, the transporter signal was by design not made to be intercepted nor redirected and even with R'karr's constant field adjustments and stabilization trying to catch it was proving to be more difficult than expected. Vharo: Gods. Remind me not to suggest this course of action in the future, we would've likely had an easier time tearing the door off then this. R’Karr: Response.
Vharo's clenched jaw relaxed briefly as the pair's joint effort slowly and very much painfully dragged the errant signal into alignment, it was clear from both of the screens that the field projection was a certified travesty and it wouldn't be stable by any metric but it would theoretically get them out of the room with likelihood of migraines and nausea at the other end almost a guarantee. Vharo: We've barely got it, for how long I don't know. You are clear to energize at your discretion, try and keep us together. R’Karr: Response. [TAGS | TBC ]
OOC: Apologies about the delay, the weekend was not kind.
