Morro Caras had some hope. Sevantha was here. Somehow she had broken through. She was now in the realm of Fearless. A show that was extremely long running; At least it had felt that way to Caras. He had lost track of how many adventures, how many years. How many Tulpas they had fought. It was all starting to get mind numbing. If they didn’t play their role people get sent away, things were harder. Now with Sevantha here, Morro did have hope, but he also had a lot of dread. If they knew who Sevantha was to him they could easily use her against him, Also if she died here, she’d probably just go to another show. It was how Caras had ended up on this show. After nearly crashing their Car, and Sevantha crashing hers, they had gone down into the woods where her car had crashed and met up. The thing on the road had of course been a tulpa, and now, it was on the hunt.

The tulpa was shifting again. Caras knew that could probably only mean one thing.

Caras: No, it’s becoming one of Nera’s old fears. His are… Sometimes.. a lot worse than mine. We have to get to the car… Run.

Caras made a dash, rushing up to Sevantha, and having her turn around to run with him, looking at Nera, and nodding.

Nera: You make me sound like a walking bundle of trauma ::his gaze flicked to Saa briefly:: Don’t get any ideas.

It wasn’t really a comment on Nera, more on his character. Were they even playing characters anymore? Had they become their characters or was it something different. If they ever made it out of here would they ever be the same? Caras didn’t know, it was easier to stay in the mind of the character, it made the torture of being it ebb a little until something reminded him of his old life. The life before this.

Saa: Please, Nera… You make me sound like I’m just waiting in the shadows to lure you into my office. ::She winked then turned towards the tulpa:: Besides, your annual is due-

A red beam burst forth from the forest. Mechanical, hulking trods were inching closer. Caras knew this one. It was when they had been a little more foolish, when they had put a little more of their real selves into the role, not knowing how it could hurt them.

Drone (Tulpa): We are..

Nera fired off several more rounds, blindly. He had gotten very good at aiming, both of them had.

Nera: No. Not going to work. You’re a bad copy. Bye now.

A moment later the red light faded from the forest as the scrambled up the side of the ditch trying to get closer to the road, Caras knew that it wasn’t going to give up.

Saa: Do these tulpas ever give up?

Caras smiled at that, she was already feeling their pain and she had barely been here a fifteen minutes.

Caras: It takes literally days to starve them out. We’ve caught them before but nothing really helps. They don’t have a lot of information, and they get stupid and desperate.

Alexander (Tulpa): Hello again Ay. It's a pleasure to see you. It’s been so long. Where’s your little green friend? That dear brother of yours? Do I have you all to myself? Goodness. How will we pass the time?

Case and point. Caras didn’t want to say it out loud, but it was a testament to how desperate it was getting, it was low.

Nera: That’s low ::muttering::

Apparently Nera had thought enough to say it out loud. It wasn’t fear at this point, it was just trying to hurt them now. Sometimes Anger was enough of a substitute for fear, or could be a good entry point. As they had gotten tough and built up their defenses, some of the tulpas had gotten away and shared tactics to use on them, and sometimes they ended up seeping through the armor, like some kind of acid.

Caras: Ay, don’t let it get too close. It’s counting on it. Sevantha, run to the car, stay inside of it, it has defenses.

He didn’t want it to rope her in too. This was a new scenario for the people pulling the levers. Caras could tell that they were done with the shock of Sevantha being here, now they were pivoting and catching their footing seeing as how they could use it to their advantage. A Tulpa hadn’t seemingly imprinted on her, but sometimes the writers of this show didn’t really follow the rules if they thought they could get away with it. And if they addressed it later, they usually covered it up. Morro motioned for Sevantha to get to the Black Pearl.

Saa: …?

Caras turned to head back, to catch up with Nera. He heard Sevantha scramble up the side of the ditch and start getting to the road.

Nera: We put the real Alexander down. Pretending to be him won’t do anything; I’ve moved past that.

Morro winced. It was a painful memory.

Alexander (Tulpa): You can't run Ay. Not from me. I'm inside that angsty little head of yours, even if you won’t admit it.

Caras: He’s going to starve you out. And maybe we won’t put you down. Then again, you could just try to kill us. Wouldn’t you be a hero to your people?

Caras strolled up alongside Nera, both having guns pointed at him

((OOC Leaving this in for copy, but Nera and Caras probably can’t hear it))

Saa:  Come on… ::She speaks to the car:: Don’t make me use my amazing percussive maintenance skills to get you started.

The tulpa with Alexander’s visage stared the two of them down. Clearly they were both planning their next move carefully. Caras decided diplomacy was the best move, as some of the more recent Tulpa’s just wanted them dead.

Caras:  Look we have something better. You seem to be pretty strong, but you don’t have a good imprint of us. You probably ate another tulpa that got one… what five? Six years ago? Maybe even longer? But with this. ::presenting a bag:: you can get whoever you want.

Caras dangled the Crown Royal bag from his hand by the string.

Alexander (Tulpa): Is… is that what I think it is?

Oh they had him now.

Caras: It is… it’s dream dust.

Caras didn’t dare look to Nera, as to give it away.

Nera: Response

The tulpa’s eyes flicked, a dead giveaway that it was having trouble maintaining it’s form. It did seem suspicious.

Alexander (Tulpa):  Why would you trade this to me?

Caras smirked, he had come up with the perfect explanation.

Caras: Well because we want you to take back a messa…what is that?

Something was getting closer, louder. It was a beautiful sound.

Alexander (Tulpa):  That sounds like a….

The black Pearl seemingly reversed whiptailed right into the stolen form of Alexander. Trapping it. Sevantha’s poked her head out of the window, blonde locks flowing.

Saa: Get in!

That was pretty hot. Caras looked to Nera, and scrambled for the doors. Caras incidentally was not riding shotgun. Maybe it was because the distance of the passenger side rear doro was closer to him.

Caras: Did you really have to hit him? Also how did you get the keys?

Caras opened up the rear door and clambered in.

Nera: Response

Morro rolled his eyes at Ay.

Caras: No, I wasn't worried for the Tulpa. The Car. I was worried about the car. Also Sevantha, can you roll down the windows?

As they took their seats, Sevantha revved the engine and hit the gas.

Saa: So that’s a tulpa. ::She kept her eyes on the road:: How that species isn’t extinct is worth a study considering they’re walking contradictions. I know a nice little spot called “ The Chapel” , an old prohibition-era bar that had a church front, converted into a bar some time ago. Heard of it?

Sevantha had a good mind for places like this. She was still a unknown factor that mean that she had a little leeway with the writers and could shove things in. She wasn’t fully a prisoner yet, maybe she could make this work. Maybe she could get them out of this.

Caras: No, but if you know about it, then let's head there. Maybe we can lay low for a bit, figure out a plan, and reach out to our contact.

They were coming here to meet with Rat Boy. There had been other helpers in the past that had died or betrayed them… maybe it was Rat Boys turn.

Sevantha turned the car onto a narrow wooden bridge, the sounds of the tires going over the wood planks was not an unwelcome one.

Nera: Response

Suddenly an amalgamation of a borg-like Alexander crawled up from alongside the car. Caras could tell it had been dragged quite a distance by now.

Caras: Oh, yeah on your left.

Morro shot both of its hands as it was reaching to pull itself in through the window. It lost it’s grip and fell off onto the bridge and tumbled down to the waters below.

Alexander (Tulpa): NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Caras now sat back relaxed in the back sea.

Caras: Ok you can roll them back up.

((The Chapel, Dresden Point Set, Studio 9, USP Quantum Containment Realm 5))

Sometimes time was a blur… Sometimes it didn’t make sense. Caras knew he existed in the moments in between the lucidity. But they were boring. A lot of the time they didn’t matter. It was hard to believe that they hadn’t talked that entire time rolling into the small burg in the middle of Dresden point….. But they hadn’t. That was always so strange.

Neither one of the boys had seemed very comfortable with her drive the car, but there hadn’t been anymore Tulpas along the way.

They pulled up into a dirt parking lot. The place was exactly how Sevantha had described it, and slightly dilapidated Chapel was in the lot, a handful of cars were parked in ways that were not conducive to a normal parking arrangement.

Caras: So it’s been a long time. You found yourself all the way out here, and have a normal haunt? Must be nice. We used to have a place like that.

Caras fought fondly their nights at the Discothèque. A Place where he could dance his troubles away while they looked for new jobs, disturbances, and strange sightings.

Nera/Saa: Response

Caras removed the bag after the question was asked. Palming it like he always did, it’s purple velvet texture smooth in his hands.

Caras: Oh this? It’s dream dust. It can put anyone, and I mean anyone to sleep. Tulpas would seeming want to use it to put one of us to sleep so they can get a new imprint of our fears. Either that or they’d put themselves to sleep if they were well fed enough.

There was also an individual known as the Day man, that for some reason never slept, so they could never imprint on him. They had only seen him around a few times, but he was like them. A Tulpa hunter.

Nera/Saa: Response

Tulpas had to be some of the most unsexy creatures in existence. They could become sexy things, but they were never themselves, very sexy. Sexy wasn’t the opposite of fear, but they had met very few tulpas that would wield both.

Caras: ahh yep, that’s how they procreate. Most of them never reach maturity enough to procreate though, but with dream dust they could kick things off a little early. ::pivoting:: anyways who runs this place? They friendly?

With that Morro opened the door to the chapel and they walked inside, he held it open for the Betazoid and Bajoran and let them pass him on the way in.

Nera/Saa: Response
