Brodie: I ran a DMZ protocol…loaded in the various image libraries from the central core and then backed them into the holosuite systems…if something fits then it will find it.
De Scheppes: Let's wait it out, at least for the moment, and see what form it settles on.
Kel watched astonished as the form morphed through numerous species and forms. It was searching the databanks for a form it wanted. Whatever this was the idea of punching it was nearly off the table. Finally the shifting stopped at a form that was familiar, yet Kel could not quite name what it was.
Kel: What is that? I feel like I should know but…
Brodie: That’s…something I’ve not seen in a very long time…
De Scheppes: (muttering to the others) It seems to have settled on the shape of a Xindi-Aquatic.
Kel: ::walking slowly toward the holo:: Hey that's a beautiful form you've chosen, does it work well for you? Can you tell us about yourself?

Brodie: Steady V’Len…
Suddenly the holo shot forward and Kel only managed to fall backward onto the deck to avoid being hit. The holo whirled and thrashed through the holodeck.
Holo: Stop it! Cut it out! Arrgh.
It appeared that the creature was grappling with some unseen enemy.

Kel: Hey its o.k. What's wrong?
Kel hated to see beings suffer, and this one clearly was. Suddenly it stopped moving and a terrifying shriek emanated from it. As the shriek peaked, some kind of lightening or burst from the holo and filled the deck.
Brodie: ::To De Scheppes:: If this were a patient I’d say we were past crisis point. ::Back to the hologram:: Easy…easy now. No-one here will harm you. ::Turning to the others:: Could our energy signature, or something, be upsetting the creature.

Kel turned and fell forwarding thinking he was about the be cooked. When he wasn't cooked he realized the energy was a simulation and the holodeck protocols had avoided electrocuting the team.
Kel got up slowly and walked toward the creature.

Kel knew it was stupid, but he was a doctor and this patient needed help. Walking through the storm he laid a tembling hand on the holo's back.
Kel: Please calm down. We don't want to hurt you, we want to help.
The energy emanation subsided.
Brodie: Please, we wish you no ill will

Holo: ::sobbing:: Let me out.
Brodie: Out of where…this? ::He gestured around the room:: You are free to leave as you wish…or do you mean you are trapped elsewhere?
Kel had removed his hand from the holo's back. The creature seemed to be calm, but Kel was unsure what continued tactile interaction would do.
Kel: Are you trapped here somehow? Are you trapped in the graveyard of ships out there? We'd like to help you get free, but we're much smaller than you and it seems, (beat) it seems you've swallowed us. If you could regurgitate us we could be much more helpful from the outside.
De Scheppes/Daley: Response
The holo said nothing. For the moment it seemed to be recovering from its earlier eruption.
Brodie: We’ve encountered things that live between dimensions before…something called The Mandate.
Kel: I don't think I've heard about them sir. Is it one creature or several?

Brodie: I’m not saying it’s them…or it…or whatever that was…but they were not friendly and this may be similar. Being trapped in null space would certainly fit their modus operandi…they left a bomb in quantum space the last time. ::Turning back to the hologram.:: Is that it…are you a prisoner here? In time? Out of time?
Holo: :: wimpering :: Used to be free. Used to swim the stars.
Kel: What happened when you first came here? Can you remember.
Holo: Saw the light. Heard the lovely sound. Then the walls went up
Kel: :: Turning to Brodie:: That sounds a lot like a trap. Like the way you attracts arthropods to a light.
