((Primary Sickbay, Deck 10, USS Thor))

Dr. Sevantha Saa was back.

Well, kind of.

The Head of Health covered both physical and mental health which meant a return to her roots. She’d worked in Sickbay a little onboard the Butler but she’d worked most with Nesre in the continued development of mental health and where Jania covered the physical. Sitting on top of both branches felt strange, but her own insecurity about her deservedness wasn’t holding her back today. Instead, she grabbed her PADD and began her review of the Sickbay refit and acquainted herself with the space.

Standing in the center of the Primary Sickbay, the Head of Health on board the USS Thor, admired the work of the refits, though the size didn’t compare to the two deck large sickbay onboard the galaxy class she’d started on, it was considerably larger than the Butler’s. Once satisfied, she walked past the CMO office and paused in consideration, while she was the Head of Health she much preferred the blue lighting and holographic stars and waterfalls of her Counseling office to work out of. Maybe she’d let the Lieutenant Junior Grades rotate in and out of the big chair when on duty to give them some management practice once everyone settled in.

She still needed to review the finalized roster of medical staff and familiarize herself with their specialties.

Saa: Computer, is anyone on duty currently?

Almost immediately, a pale figure dressed in a teal medical uniform appeared beside her, causing the Betazoid to jump a little. Golden ringed eyes stared holes in the being that had simply manifested, and they‌ stared back with a relatively neutral expression, though their browless ridges were lifted, which either read as surprise or curiosity.

Sevantha hated how holograms could sneak up on her.

EMH: No.

Then the door chimed as it opened and someone else entered Sickbay.

EMH: But we do have a guest.

She gave the EMH a little nod, though her discomfort did not immediately melt away, as he continued to stare at her and she in turn stared back. Suddenly, missed the retrofitted Mark IV the Astraeus that she’d uncovered during Frontier Day and called out on the slow days to give the lower deck female staff something to distract themselves with.

Saa: Thank you, if you wouldn’t mind, while you’re active could you please run a few scenario tests with the quarantine room?

EMH: Yes Ma’am, should I be the patient or the Doctor?

Saa: Doctor. The program has holographic patients and scenarios made to ensure our systems respond properly.

Again he stared at her, took in the instruction, then nodded. Sevantha had to wonder if he was programmed like this or if this was simply the upgrader’s personality being immortalized. Considering how much of a blank slate the man appeared, she had a feeling they were going to go through some inevitably growing pains as the EMH began developing itself from the influence of those around them.

Returning to the front of sickbay, Sevantha looked around for their guest, only to see a face she’d only met in memories. A very specific memory in fact she’d experienced through Lhandon Nisen’s mind. That face had been on stage, serenading the crowd while Lhandon was getting his face pummeled in by an angry Andorian. Sevantha to avoid disrupting the memory had place herself on top of the bar to listen to the man sing while Lhandon worked backwards how that memory related to the struggle he was having with surrounding event.

Blonde hair styled, vibrant blue eyes, the Bajoran nose ridge. He looked a little aged compared to the memory, but there was no doubt, this was the same person.

Nera: Response

Saa: Nera?

oO Great fire consume me. Oo

Internally, she cursed herself for having spoken his name out loud. She had in a way met him, and heard of an alternative version of him married to the alternative Lhandon, but the two of them of this universe had never met. Though, much like her own, she’d seen his file had a number of specific flags, though notably his were from DTI instead of D14 related to the fate of the USS Gorkon.

The unnatural gold rings in her eyes burned a little as her mind worked in overdrive to figure a suitable  cover.

Nera: Response.

Saa: Ah, I thought… I recognized you. ::She quietly searched for the words:: Um, we were at Medical Academy about the same time, and I’d seen you a few times. We have some mutual friends, Dr. Jania Nis and Lhandon Nilsen.

None of that was technically a lie. Deep down a shame swelled as it often did when one was raised in a culture as honest as Betazed’s, but she had patient confidentiality to uphold with Lhandon.

Nera: Response

Saa: Officially, I’m Lieutenant Commander and Dr. Sevantha Saa, Head of Health, but unless we’re on a mission, I prefer Sevantha, and consider this an official welcome on board the USS Thor. ::she looked around:: I'm not sure what your facilities were like on the Gorkon but you'll find Sickbay here is fairly larger than average for ships this size due to the remoteness of our mission.

Nera: Response
