In the beginning all was formless, empty, and dark.
The holosuite stood silent, its arch dark, its grid unlit. Internal buffers cycled at idle capacity. Environmental emitters remained dormant. Narrative processors were queued but inactive. The presence of a biosign at the arch activated the holomatrix subprocessors. A program was manually input.

The subprocessors engaged and a painstakingly accurate representation of the bridge of the Invicta materialized within the holosuite.

A section of the Shra'Tik separated on the viewscreen. The brood pod detached and maneuvering thrusters ignited. The pod drifted toward the Invicta with minimal propulsion.
Within the pod, dozens of eggs pulsed with faint bioelectric activity. Shield integrity fluctuated at 41%.
