((In the entrance area of Harmony Shores Collaborative Resort, Lolagi IV ))

Looking around, Ian hailed one of the rent-a-rides that was waiting just outside the resort's entranceway. An old yellow areo-car quickly pulled up and Ian hopped in.

A middle aged Ferengi with a stubby cigar greeted him without looking back.

Cabbie: Where to, Mac?

O’Connor: Follow that police car.

Hearing the cracking in Ian’s voice the cabbie now glanced back at him and gave a surprised look followed by an annoyed sigh.

Cabbie: C’mon kid,  get outta my cab and come back with a parent. I can’t transport unaccompanied minors.

O’Connor: It’s an emergency. I need you to hurry. They’re starting to leave.

Cabbie: Get out kid.

O’Connor: I…I have latnum.

The cabbie did pause slightly.

Cabbie: Probably not enough to make it worth my while. You’re not worth me losing my license over.

By then the other vehicle had pulled away. It turned a corner and Ian slammed a fist down as he thought he’d lost them. Unbeknownst to him the craft containing Rox and de La Croix was only going around to the other side of the resort where the Secured Reflection Suite was located.

O’Connor: Damn, now they're gone.

oO Need some back up. Oo

O’Connor: =/\= O’Connor to Ensign k’Oar-€l. I need your help. Rox is in trouble. I need you to find her and bail her out…=/\=

Cabbie: Well, then all the more reason for you to get yer scrawny bum outta my cab.

O’Connor: All right, fine

Before Ian realized what was happening, the cabbie got out, opened the back door and pulled Ian out, flinging him with surprising strength onto the lawn.

The cabbie immediately hopped back in and sped away while giving a gesture out the window.

He went to tap at his comm badge but it wasn’t there. He speculated that it came off when the cabbie grabbed him. He reached down to his waist and  only then realized that he’d left his holographic ID and tricorder on the seat as well.

He sighed and went back into the resort to look for anyone from Ronin who might be able to help him.

End of Scene for O’Connor.
