((Turbolift 1, Between Deck 6 and 7, USS Ronin))

Ian reawakened to the sound of Beck’s voice.

Beck: =/\= . . . did you just say abandon ship??? What the hell are you doing up there? =/\=

It took a second for it to sink in that he was talking to someone else.

oO Communications must be…Wait, what?? Oo

Tucker:
=/\= You heard right, buddy, I’m working on trying to get your turbolift going again. And to answer your question, I'm not sure what’s on the Captain's mind. =/\=

Ian propped himself half up against the wall. Expletives rushed through his mind.

O’Connor: All right, actually it’s not as bad as it seems. ::gestures around:: We’re already in a pod…we just need to figure out a way to make it escape. But if Tuck can get us up and running… Even better.

Beck: Response

The turbo lift suddenly jerked. There was a prolonged scraping noise but it wasn’t too long until the doors opened to a deserted hallway.

Beck: Response

With Beck’s help Ian stood and they started to turn into the corridor.

O’Connor: Wait, hold on…this is Deck 11… shuttle repair bay is right around that corner. The Sagan was supposed to be in for routine maintenance. It should still be flightworthy, and we can be a lot more helpful in a shuttle than an escape pod.

Beck: Response

The maintenance bay was empty as well, but sitting right in the middle of the floor lift was a type-11 shuttle craft.

O’Connor: We’re in luck. Well…our present personal physical conditions not withstanding anyway.

Beck: Response

Ian nodded as they boarded and slid gingerly into the pilot’s seat and activated several controls.

O’Connor: You keep me conscious, and I’ll keep us from getting blown to pieces out there.

Beck: Response

The lift brought them up two decks into the shuttle bay and the Sagan wasted no time exiting. Ian arced them around the Ronin surveying some of the damage. Things did not look promising. With the amount of devastation and the Captain’s abandon ship order, Ian couldn’t help but wonder if he’d just departed the Ronin for the last time. He glanced at Beck wondering if the doctor had the same feeling.

Beck: Response
