Ensign Delphina Wren: Think of these thoughts as limitless light exposing, closing circuitry of fright

Delphina hurried down the hall, trying to feel some modicum of relaxation. It was difficult being on shore leave here. The Reef was one of the most engaging places she’d ever been in, and she was now experiencing biosynthetic life-forms on a level they’d never even gotten close to at the academy, and, even though her brain hurt from the absence of Narhelion’s protective mental shielding, she was spending practically every day in constant movement, trying to understand as much of this strange in-between space as she could. This place was an engineering paradise, the perfect marriage of intent and nature. oO And part of you is still in that spot. Oo

She shook her head roughly, loose hair falling down, letting the thoughts of those around her crowd her mind until the thought was gone. She didn’t have time for this. She’d specifically set aside time with Shortrith to deal with this at a later point, but right now she wanted to celebrate. They hadn’t managed to get a drink together before the mission started, and now they had even more to celebrate.

Running onto the lift just before it slid shut, she glanced up, a little taken aback to see a Cardassian staring at her with a confused expression, before she jumped her focus again, flicking through her PADD. The Narhelion had been an absolute inspiration when it came to her project load. Right now she was working on specialized EV suits with fibers sewn into them, similar to the Narhelion’s muscular fibers that produced shields when broken. The longer they stayed here, the more projects she could put together, the more cosmozoans she could see, the more they could learn. She didn’t want to leave. oO You’ll never really leave anyway. Oo

Delphina ignored that, stepping off the lift and hurrying to the 47 lounge, waving as she saw T’Fearne already by the doors. Part of her missed sharing a mental space with the lieutenant oO Full lieutenant!!! Oo but the part of her that had been exposed to the full Evinrude did not.

Wren: ::Perhaps a touch too energetic:: T’Fearne! Hi! I’m not late, am I??

T’Fearne/Evinrude/Shortrith: Responses

Delphina spun around as she saw the others arriving, skillfully avoiding eye contact with Evinrude, skirting directly to Shortrith.

Wren: It’s good to see you all! Shortrith, I finished that commbadge for recording? ::Passes it to them:: I managed to get you an extra backup in your computer systems as well, so if we experience another outage, it’ll reroute to the next available computer.

Wren: Should we go in?
