Still unsure if it was a good idea to involve Jack in this thing with her brother, she played with the straw in her drink.

Nemes: Jack, I really don't want to drag you into these family matters. ::beat:: Hell, most of the time I wish I could get out of it.

Morrow: It might be a little late for that now, Sybil. I want to know how this story ends.

Nemes: You really sure? My family is some sort of never-ending story, you know.

Morrow: Hey ::raising a hand:: you can’t back out now. ::he let a Cheshire grin overtake his features::

Sybil returned his catchy grin as he waved over Tilly again. She didn't appear to be in a better mood when she came back to the table. However, Sybil made no attempt to say anything. She just sat there and watched them.

Tilly: What can I get for your Lieutenant

Morrow: Yeah, can I get another from my stash, this time the Picard Maneuver Stout, please.

Even Jack’s charming smile couldn’t help him with the waitress and he hung his head before he looked up at Sybil again.

Nemes: She really doesn’t like me being here, does she?

She gave Jack a sideways glance, trying to make it sound casual.

Morrow: So what could you possibly need from a space lawyer. ::he chuckled, smiling::

Tilly came again, this time with his drink, but Sybil paid no further attention to her.

Nemes: I thought a space lawyer like you could have some helpful contacts. And ideas how to find out more. ::she looked at him, her expression suddenly serious:: Something is really off here.

Morrow: I mean, ::he rubbed the back of his neck with his hand:: I could talk to some of my contacts at HQ? I mean, I’m not sure where to start, but I have enough friends out there that someone must have heard something about your brother.

A small weight seemed to fall from her shoulders when she heard this. Of course, she could have gone on alone, but it was certainly more promising with Jack’s help.

Nemes: Thanks. I really appreciate that. It would help a lot.

Jack took a sip of his drink, eyeing Sybil over the rim of the still frosty pint glass.

Morrow: Is there anything you can give me to go on with?

Nemes: Not much, to be honest. I was not able to have a look at his record, but I’m sure there’s nothing in it but praise and commendations. ::she looked at Jack slightly shrugging her shoulders, when she suddenly thought of something:: There was something strange though. My mum told me that he seemed to act strangely. What did she say? Erm He was stressed and almost aggressive.

Morrow: Response

Nemes: I didn't really think much of it at the time, to be honest. My mum can be very sensitive about it. But now, with hindsight...

Morrow: Response

Nemes: I will also talk to my sister. She’s also in Starfleet and perhaps she knows something.

She stopped talking, looking at her drink as if it might have the answers.

Morrow: Response

Sybil: I’m wondering… why did my mum call me to find out more? Black sheep, remember? ::she pointed at herself::  My sister is much closer to him than I ever was. And probably also more capable to find out more.

Morrow: Response
