V'Len barely stopped on his journey from the transporter room to the bridge of the Ronin. He'd dispatched Shortrith, Esot and Zh'Taan to the surface to hunt up and help Tucker's group who was trying to get the cooling system started to slow the Sencha generator below. Along with Tucker were Evinrude and Jack, a team V'Len hoped would be capable of getting the cooling system working. Secretly he hoped they could shut down the generator altogether.
His job, supported by Wren, T'Fearne and O'Connor, was to intercept whatever vessel had joined them in the Ross-580 system. There was little doubt that it was a Lattice Alliance vessel, with V'Len's luck, well-armed. He might have preferred to have Jack on the bridge with him, but V'Len had sent him further into the reactor. He marched out onto the bridge and noted T'Fearne standing nearby. There was something different about her.
Kel: Lieutenant are you able to man your station?
T'Fearne: Response
V'Len thought about requesting a box or step stool, but figured the Vulcan would not appreciate it.
Kel: Ensign Wren, I need a systems status update.
Wren: Response
Kel: Where is Mr. O'Connor?
Wren/T'Fearne/Nicolau: Response
V'Len looked around in exasperation.
Kel: Who else is missing?
Wren/T'Fearne/Nicolau: Response
V'Len exhaled loudly. He'd have to add it to his growing list of problems.
Kel: OK. What's the status of this vessel that joined us?
Wren/T'Fearne/Nicolau: Response
