V'Len watched the data flow by once more. The had inputted slight modifications into the way the power was supposed to flow into the system. Hopefully he could observe something that could help him understand how the generator station on Ross-580 worked. He had made a model based on the data they accumulated and on his discussion with tr'Kharis and Akudo. Still there were pieces missing, likely ones that the Lattice Alliance had provided that were beyond the expertise of the Administrator and his Chief Scientist. They also seemed somewhat beyond the Federation as well. The main computer had provided no answers and V'Len had consulted with Lt. Dohna T'Alia, a member of the Ronin's engineering staff, but she too was at a loss. The only thing left was to try to see if he could guess at the pieces.
V'Len had considered involving the Captain in his efforts. The Niac symbiont had once been the partner of one of the foremost scientist in the Federation and indeed the one who had discovered Sencha radiation. It was likely Niac could provide some answers, but V'Len felt that he should have some kind of starting point for those discussions before he involved the Captain.
Behind him he sensed movement and he saw a whisp of blue moving past him further along in the lab.
Kel: Ensign Zh'taan, do you have a moment?
Zh'taan: Response
V'Len had not gotten a chance to spend time with the newest member of his staff while he'd been acting captain. With the Ronin now tucked in orbit of Logali V, it seemed like a good time to meet with the young Andorian, and yet, V'len was still reluctant. His hybrid nature was not the result of parents, but rather an accident and his Andorian brother Kos had not yet accepted who he was. While Kelor Zh'taan was not Kos, V'Len still worried that Andorian pride might cause Kelor to view him negatively. He'd reached out now, so he would not have to wonder for long.
Kel: Good afternoon Ensign. How are you finding the Ronin?
Zh'taan: Response
Kel: That's very good to hear. What are you working on?
Zh'taan: Response
