((Ian O’Connor’s quarters, Deck 7, USS Ronin))
Home.
It was good to be back.
The search for Poagie’s sister had resulted in her return but not without a number of…well, it was complicated. Ian had started his report on the journey back to Ronin but there was still much to tell. However, that would have to be a tale for a later date. Right now he needed to clean up, get himself settled and report in.
The long sonic shower felt refreshing after so long without amenities. The massage mode definitely helped to work a few of the kinks out. He closed his eyes and stretched. He had no idea how long he lingered but eventually he stepped out and slipped on the comfortably ragged bathrobe that had still been hanging on the same hook where he’d left it.
Ian fixed himself a cup of herbal tea and sipped at it while running through all the comms he’d missed. Seeing the overwhelming number in his inbox, he closed down his screen and decided that task could wait for later as well.
He slid open the closet and selected the right outfit for the occasion. A minute or so later, he found himself staring in the mirror and seeing himself in uniform again for the first time in what seemed like forever. Straightening himself with the infamous Picard maneuver, he couldn’t help but nod approvingly. It really was good to be back home.

As he headed to the turbolift he passed some familiar faces but some new ones as well. He nodded, said hello and kept moving along. The lift doors closed and he paused so long that the computer prompted him for a destination. He chuckled to himself and smiled.
