((Kelor’s Quarters, Deck 04, USS Ronin))

It had been some time since Kelor had joined the crew. He was still getting accustomed to the ship and how it operated, having not yet been called upon for the current mission. This was his first assignment since completing his training, and he wanted to be ready when the time came. He spent most of his time in his quarters, reviewing his Academy coursework. And then, the moment arrived:

Dohna: =/= Ensign Zh'Thaan, please report to Engineering. =/= ::she glanced at Morgan:: He's a science officer, maybe he'll have some insight.

Morgan: Response

Kelor was initially surprised by the call, but he quickly got up and left his quarters without delay.

oO Here we go! Oo

Zh'taan: =/= Ensign Zh'taan. I'm coming. =/=

((Main Engineering, Deck 7, USS Ronin))

When the doors to Main Engineering opened, Kelor found himself facing two women wearing gold uniforms. He stepped forward and took in the room.

oO Everything will be fine… Oo

Dohna: Ensign Zh'Thaan, over here. Thank you for coming. I'm Lt. Dohna T'Alia.

Kelor approached the table where the two engineers were standing.

Zh'taan: ::nods to both women in greeting:: Pleased to meet you, ladies. It’s a pleasure to be able to assist you. oO Don’t panic, don’t panic… Oo

Morgan:  Response

Dohna: We're trying to determine why the Ronin cannot create a stable warp field. I thought perhaps fresh eyes would help.

Zh'taan: I see. ::He leans over the table and analyzes the various data readouts:: The different probes show that spacetime is disturbed around the ship, which is preventing us from generating a stable warp field.

Morgan:  Response

Dohna: I'm going to go out on a limb and say it may have something to do with the Sencha radiation erupting from the surface of the moon below us.

Kelor pulled his tricorder from his pocket and began searching through the ship’s databases. He focused specifically on information from probe readings related to the spacetime fracture surrounding the moon.

Zh'taan: ::His coursework on the subject is still fresh in his mind:: That seems like a fairly logical explanation to me. Time itself is fractured and no longer consistent around the ship, so if the space around us isn’t stable, the warp field can’t be stable either.

Dohna/Morgan:  Response

Kelor continued his research on the tricorder while listening to the two women.

Zh'taan: The scans indicate that the ship is surrounded by chroniton particles, which are disrupting the spacetime field. What do you think? ::He turns toward Lieutenant Dohna.::

Dohna/Morgan:  Response

Zh'taan: Destroying these chroniton particles should restabilize spacetime and allow us to activate the warp field. Do you have any ideas?

Dohna/Morgan:  Response
