(( Engineering Workshop 3, Deck 12, USS Ronin))
Wren: How do I look?
The moment she turned around she knew she'd botvhed it. Nakada didn't make a sound, but he couldn't keep his face from broadcasting the immediate horror. oO well. I guess it's my turn to be in a horror movie….. You know, this thing could be revolutionary for holofilms. And haunted cornfields. Oo
Nakada: Well, the good news is your uniform has admiral pips.
Nakada: The rest of your face however … :: mimes weirdness ::
Delphina felt that was pretty vague as far as descriptions went, so she took the opportunity to look in the mirror herself, unable to stop herself from snort-laughing at her image. She absolutely would have to send a picture of this to Mordren.
Nakada: Perhaps if we made you a species without a face?
Wren: Which one? Most species pride themselves on having a face ::checking her reflection again:: this reminds me of ….. gods I can't remember what it's called but it was a horror movie from the early 21st century earth. Weird Mountain?.... Strange Ravine …..no I don't remember what it was called.
Nakada: A Horta maybe?
Wren: I don't know if that'll work. I've still got a torso and two- oh, three- legs. I don't think I pass for a giant pile of rocks…
This must have been exactly how Cinderella felt when she wanted to go to the ball.
Nakada: What about ex-borg? Ninety percent of single species members of Starfleet are ex-Borg.
Wren: Hm…. I’m not sure about that. I mean, what are the odds of an ex-borg Horta who already made it to being an admiral?
Nakada: :: defensive of his brilliant idea :: Au contraire. An ex-borg Horta Admiral is so out of wack, the computer can’t doubt us. Just act extremely offended if it does.
Wren:.... Well, if acting incredulous at the computer worked, I think the captain would have had a much easier time convincing it he was alive. All the same…. I don't know much about Horta, do you know what name I should use?
Nakada: Response
Wren: Okay, sounds good ::adjusting the masque’s vocal settings, before speaking in a voice like a flute:: there, that sh- oh for heaven's sake
Nakada: Response
Delphina shook her head, biting back a sigh. Just once, she'd like her more recent projects to just do what she wanted without issue. But she'd been off lately. Her projects weren't doing what she wanted, and the Masque was just in a long line of projects she was trying to force to life.
Wren: I'm sure there's at least one Horta that sounds like this ::to the computer:: Computer. I am admiral Shale, first ex-borg Horta to climb to ladder of Starfleet. Open the doors.
Computer: I have no record of an admiral Shale. There are no records of an ex-borg Horta in any part of Starfleet.
Nakada: Response
