Wren: ::uncertain:: The presence of chronitons in this area, coupled with the shape of the eddy, and the difficulties we’re having with our tricorders… is it at all possible that we witnessed some sort of temporal fracture? I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t know that much about temporal anomalies, but the tricorder readings are so wildly inconsistent, it’s almost as though I’m actually scanning multiple probes at once, all under different conditions.
Dohna: Temporal Anomalies are no one's favorite topic. However, I'm inclined to agree with your assessment.

Dohna: The real question is why it is here and how Fleet Captain Niac and Commander Raga came to come through it.
Delphina let out a small breath of relief that she hadn’t been completely off-base. Temporal anomalies had been one of the classes she and many others had struggled the most with, and she still sometimes found herself chasing her own tail trying to understand the concept of anti-time. But Dohna was right. How and, above all else, why had they come through?

Dohna: There are easier ways to travel through time. Take for example the "wrap around a star approach".
Wren: ::to herself:: Or specifically ask a Q not to do so for you…

Delphina held back a small chuckle, about to pull up the progress of the probes on her PADD when she was interrupted.
Kel: =/\= Kel to Ensign Wren. Please meet us un Shuttlebay 1. We're going on a field trip.
Wren: =/\= Oh! Okay, I’m on my way, sir =/\= ::To the others:: I’ll leave the rest to you, um…. This is my first time going on a shuttle run. Any advice?

Delphina nodded, before hurrying towards the shuttle bay. As she went, she tried to think of what she might need for this. No doubt they were going to try and investigate the eddy, maybe scan some of the leftover debris, so she’d need her PADD. As she exited the torpedo bay, she grabbed an Engineering Kit, briefly glancing inside to track what was in it, before stepping into the lift. The part of her that wasn’t feeling anxious was genuinely excited. One of her engineering professors had once told her that there was a chance she’d never have an opportunity to do much outside of the ship, as that was where she’d be most needed, so she hadn’t expected to have the opportunity for a ‘field trip’ so soon.

Delphina stepped off the turbolift, glancing around the shuttle bay until she spotted a small group outside a runabout. oO That must be it….. I’m surprised to see Kel is here, though. He’s in command right now, can we risk losing him?.... Although I suppose that’s why Kessler is here. Oo. She hadn’t yet had the opportunity to talk to most of the people here, and was curious as to what to expect. Quietly, she joined the group, standing next to Shortrith.

Delphina nodded, listening closely, taking a second to look at the shuttle itself. It was a Volga-Class, the Sojourn if she wasn’t mistaken. A fair enough choice for what they needed to do, though it wasn’t Delphina’s personal favorite shuttle design. That went to the Workbees, which, though utterly useless for this kind of mission, were just adorable.
Kessler: Any special equipment aside from the standard you want with us Commander?
Kel/Shortrith/O'Connor: response
Kessler: Well personally, I would prefer a larger ship with maybe some Borg enhanced shields and temporal shielding but since we don't seem to have any, I guess this will have to do.
oO I wonder if there are any ships that do have temporal shielding? With all the shenanigans that Starfleet seems to encounter regarding time travel, you’d think it would be built-in at this point. Oo

Wren: :: To herself:: At least we’ll have plenty of room… oO Though I’m not sure if this kind of runabout has a transporter… can’t imagine why it wouldn’t, but I should probably check that so we don’t all die horribly…..
