[[On Warp, Bridge, Deck 1, USS Excalibur ]]

The Rhine had been towed into one of the spacious Vesta-class shuttlebays, with a few scratches in the paintwork that would surely make Chief Tucker frown, but considerably more intact than one might expect given the amount of enemy fire it had sustained.

Moreover, the tractor beam had ensured that the runabout performed a smooth landing on deck 7... and it was on that was remarckably devoid of fire, a pleasant novelty these days.

The small team had not wasted too much time, and had soon taken the nearest turbolift, to head for two of the most urgent tasks: Alieth, with Lieutenant Raedai in tow, had moved up to Deck 1, to report their findings.

Meanwhile, Lorana and Ensign Syrex had taken one of the nearest corridors to bring the Salix symbiote to the sickbay, located on the same deck. The Vulcan wasn't pleased to leave the two of them alone with this delicate task, but, at the end, she trusted the Caitian's good judgment in handling stressful situations and making the best possible decisions, as well as the zeal that the young Trill had shown so far in her role as medic.

She would have to trust them both to keep the symbiote alive and, if possible, get more key information from it, if they could find a way to communicate with the slug.

The mission that fell upon her was equally important: inform the ship's captain of their findings, as well as the status of the Ronin and the Khitomer the last time they had had contact with them. Provided, of course, that the Vesta-class crew didn't have more up-to-date information. The only drawback to that plan was, of course, the unpleasant presence of the Romulan, but she needed his technical expertise (and the data he'd gathered from outside the station) to complete her report.

Of course, the turbolift ride was long for the two Vulcanoids. And quiet. Mostly silent, in fact. Also, in the case of the Vulcan, she was careful to keep her eyes off the usually smiling face of Raedai.

After what seemed like an eternity and a half, the lift doors opened to allow them passage onto the bridge, a sight partly familiar and partly alien to Alieth, so similar and yet so different from the USS Thor. Packed with faces that were unfamiliar to her.

Despite this, and despite the sleeves of her uniform still soaked with the fluid that had saved Silax and the burns and small cuts that plagued her face and uniform, the tiny commander strode forward with a firm, determined step, as if she owned the place, in the direction of the highest-ranking person present.

Alieth: Commodore, Commander Alieth reporting for duty. :: She raised her right hand in the traditional ta'al :: We are here to serve.

Nicholotti / Raedai: Response

The Vulcan nodded firmly.

Alieth: Indeed, we belong to the crew of the USS Ronin, the last time we were on board they were heading at maximum warp towards Deep Space 33 to avoid an assault by the Lattice Alliance, as the intelligence we had was false. We have not known about their activities for a while now.

Nicholotti / Raedai: Response

The Vulcan folded her hands behind her back, fingers closing over her damp sleeve. A distinctly unpleasant experience that she kept well hidden.

Alieth: Our team remained behind to obtain intelligence from one of the LA stations, where we have obtained key data on how to shield our ships from the Sencha Radiation, the Lieutenant can brief you on the technicalities of it.

The Vulcan paused for a short breath before she continued speaking, dark eyes fixed on the Commodore's crystalline blue ones.

Alieth: We also rescued a captive Federation citizen that the Alliance has held captive for decades, if you will excuse me for a moment while Lieutenant Raedai gives his report, I will give you more information on their current status.

Nicholotti / Raedai: Response

The petite Vulcan took a couple of steps away before she tightened the combadge she had reattached to the chest of her uniform after peeling herself out of the EVA suit.

Alieth: =/\= Lieutenant Lorana, Ensign Syrex, what is the current status of our rescued? =/\=

Lorana / Syrex: =/\= Response=/\=

The Vulcan's slanted eyebrows furrowed slightly at those words.

Alieth: =/\= This ship should be much better equipped than the Rhine, what do you have in mind to restore their stability, what are your current plans? =/\=

Nicholotti / Raeda/ Lorana / Syrex: Response
