((Corridors near 47 Lounge, Starboard Catamaran, USS Ronin - Lolagi IV))

Having descended from the mission pod he entered the catamaran section of the ship and made the rounds. Letting himself be seen. Stopping to converse with every crew member he saw, even if only for a moment in passing. The Al-Leyan made it a point to let himself be seen, to show the crew he was very much alive and they had no reason to grieve beyond the normal that everyone in Starfleet felt when any loss of life occurred.

Toryn passed a couple of crewmen leaving the lounge and stopped them for a few moments to inquire about how they’re doing and what special the lounge had for today. He was pleased to hear that it was steamed dumplings and ramen with udon noodles. After letting them go about their days he continued and spotted V’Len Kel leading what he recognized as a canine of some kind. A bemused smirk on his face he approached his friend and colleague who seemed a little off.

Kel:  Good evening, commander.  How are you?

Raga: I’m doing well, Commander. Same question to you and your companion.

Any: Response

He gestured to the beast that had flopped against the bulkhead.

Kel:  This is Mork ::beat:: from Ork.  It's my brother Kumel's dog.  He's visiting Logali as well with friends. He asked me to watch his dog while they are camping.

Raga: That’s brotherly of you. Though, having been camping a few times I’m surprised that a canine wouldn’t be brought along. Isn’t he better out in nature?

Any: Response

Kel: ::nodding toward Mork::  He's clearly not suited for camping.  Frankly, I don't know what he's suited for.  ::looking at Raga::  I think Sylara is a much more practical pet.

That elicited a chuckle from the Al-Leyan who nodded but also shrugged.

Raga: True, though she’s more of a friend and companion than pet. I suppose being able to communicate telepathically has that effect. Based on your disposition when I walked up, I take it he’s more of a handful than you expected?

Any: Response

As V’Len looked down at the canine, Toryn watched with amusement. It certainly seemed the slovenly sort.

Kel:  I'm sure I could at least get him into the 47.  Maybe after a lie down he'll be able to make it home without stopping every two minutes.

Raga: We can certainly try. And I’m sure the scent of food will perk him up if nothing else.

Kel/Any: Response

Raga: I'm curious. I’ve never heard of Ork. Is that a city on Trill, or another planet?

Kel/Any: Response

Raga: I’ll never not be surprised at just how much Human culture seems to appeal to just about everyone. Between Klingons citing Shakespeare and planets full of gangsters I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s civilizations outside our galaxy that are telling each other paternal jests. Human culture, like sand, ends up everywhere. ::he chuckled::

Kel/Any: Response

Toryn crouched down beside Mork from Ork and smiled at the canine. He let it sniff his hand if it wanted and glanced at V’Len.

Raga: Shall we see if we can coax your friend here to the lounge?

Kel/Any: Response
