((Cockpit, USS Rhine, Outside the J-0922A System))

Alieth: The structure shows no life forms inside, so it is logical to assume that it is automated or remotely controlled. We can beam in.

Lt Lorana nodded at the commander's words. Alyndra, who’s attention was split between the commander and the scanners, gave the tiniest hint of a smile. She didn’t want to come face to face with the LA on the ground just yet.

Lorana: Transportation locked in. We'll have several minutes to get into our suits :: to Syrex :: We might need some more of those drugs?

Alyndra quickly set up the scanners to alert her if there was a significant change in the outside area, before getting out of her seat and moving towards the Rhines replicator.

Syrex: :: To Replicator:: ten intravenous vials of pharmacological exmixer, pH 7.4, in sterile containment unit set to 20oC

As the replicator hummed to life, it materialized a small metal case. Alyndra carefully retrieved the case and slid it into her medical kit, which was conveniently placed near the seat where she had been sitting.

Raedai: I'll stay behind to maintain the ship's systems and get it ready to jump to warp. If we are detected, there won't be a second to lose.

The Vulcan paused for a noticeable amount of time, but not so long that Alyndra felt the need to question the commander's well-being, considering the concentration of Sencha radiation in the region.

Alieth: It's okay. Keep a scan on the Gormangander and the structure, and a transporter lock on us. We will need you to get us out quickly if things go south.
Raedai: I've loaded the ship with suits prepared for a Y-class planet. So if the environmental system is prepared for the Sheliak or Tholians they should hold up, for a bit.

The Vulcan nodded slowly, gesturing to Alyndra and Lorana to join her, before she headed towards the rear of the Rhine. Alyndra tailed behind the commander

Commander Alieth began to dress into an EVA suit with haste, not wanting to fall behind, Alyndra began to climb into one too. She hadn’t worn EVA suits much apart from her time in the academy’s training spacewalks, but this one felt different, she just couldn’t put her finger on it.

Lorana: Response

From the cockpit, once again, came the voice of the Romulan.

Raedai: Although before beaming, we must check what kind of internal sensors they use. And what is the target, the less time in there, the less chance of detection and success.
Alieth: Proceed, Lieutenant Raedai, and beam us up when it is safer.

“Safer” was the all-important keyword. Beaming into both an enemy and unknown territory would never be safe, but hopefully, with the combined experience of the away team, Alyndra hoped that it would be as safe as it could get.

Syrex: Safer is preferable, without a sickbay my capabilities are limited.
Lorana: Response

Alyndra completed suiting up in her EVA suit and then turned to the commander, who was rummaging through a material locker, retrieving various useful items. Alyndra also went to the locker and took out her own set of tools, which included a reinforced medical tricorder, a type 1 phaser, and a tiny PADD encased in security casing just in case. She securely fastened these items along with her medkit to her EVA suit.

Alieth: Are they ready and fully equipped?
Lorana: Response
Syrex: Ready when you are, commander

The petite Vulcan nodded and then, with extreme care, she took the combadge she had detached from her uniform and clasped it in the designated place on the outside of her suit.

Alieth: Lieutenant Raedai, everything ready to beam us up?
Raedai: Response

The petite commander took a second before giving the order.

Alieth: Beam us up.

As the word was given, the trio of women disappeared from the Rhine in a glitter of gold and blue glitter.

[[One second later, corridor, 47th level, Lattice Alliance Unknown Structure.]]
The hallway lit up as the cascade of gold and blue sparks materialized the three women. But it was a brief glow, barely a spark, before it sank back into deep darkness. The corridor had a hexagonal section, with rounded edges, almost like a honeycomb, and stretched as far as the eye could see, dotted with small red lights at regular distances, tiny blood-coloured lights that barely managed to brighten a couple of feet away. The walls had strange bulbous panels, black and shiny like insect carapaces, interwoven in an organic-looking and somehow nauseating lattice, like petrified entrails made of black petroleum.
The commander crouched down, her back pressed to one of the corners of the corridor, and she slowly reached for her tricorder, appearing to scan the corridor from one side to the other.
Alyndra on the other hand, wanted to know if this structure was flooded in sencha radiation as she had suspected. However, her medical tricorder was ill-suited for that kind of scan..

Alieth: Temperature range 393 degrees kelvin. High ambient humidity. It seems that the Lieutenant has had a good intuition with these suits.

A kind of thick, heavy, whitish mist swirled in the corridor, clinging closely to the floor plates.

Syrex: I’ll say, can you get a reading on the concentrations of sencha radiation in here? On that topic ::Gestures to the others:: please let me know straight away if you start to feel weird.
Lorana/ Raedai (optional): Response
Alieth: Are there signs of movement or energy nearby? Any indication of Sencha generators as we know them?
Lorana/ Raedai (optional): Response
Syrex: I should be able to configure my tricorder to detect heat signatures.
Alieth/ Lorana/ Raedai (optional): Response

Syrex: Give me a moment…

Alyndra took her medical tricorder, taking the probe out and pressing it against the nearest wall.

Syrex: There is a heat signature behind this wall, whether it is a generator or not, I don’t know. But it appears to be cooler than the rest of the structure at around 303 degrees Kelvin

Alieth/ Lorana/ Raedai (optional): Response
