When the call came in that they’d be receiving patients from the surface she’d been in the Brew Continuum getting a raktajino and a bagel before her shift started. Wyla wolfed down the latter en route and by the time she arrived in Sickbay she did so to see several of her nurses tended to a variety of scientists and personnel from the domes.
Even a cursory glance anyone could tell several of them if not most were in the midst of varying stages of radiation sickness. Wyla immediately set her mug down and grabbed a medical tricorder, slipped it into her coat pocket and got to work. She was surprised though to see neither hide nor hair of Rox or their new ‘Surgeon’. Thankfully, one of her nurses pointed her in the direction of Ward A.

Wyla rushed into the room hearing Thess’s outraged statement as if she was even remotely close to being a McCoy.
De La Croix: You must be joking. What in the world am I supposed to do with them? I suppose a round of sedatives would be completely out of the question? I'm a Surgeon, not a Pediatrician!

Avae: Pediatrician? ::seeing the children:: Awwwww. Hello there little ones I’m Chief Nurse Wyla but you can just call me Wyla and aren’t you all just the cutest bunch of little ones.

The bubbly nurse gushed at the children for a moment before she rounded on the other two.
Avae: Dozens, actually. I saw at least six with late stage radiation sickness in Ward B. Eight more beamed in as I was coming here.

She felt the tug of her lavender hair and squeaked, then noted it was one of the children and shoved a Twibble that was in her other coat pocket into their face.
Avae: OW! That wasn’t nice. Now here. Here’s a plushie. ::in a more stern tone:: Go sit down and behave, and I’ll see if I can get you ice cream or treats later.
