((OOC - all thoughts and opinions are IC and not reflective of my own. Please note that this particular PNPC is very abrasive and is designed to be extremely unlikeable - if you want a Starfleet antagonist for any storylines, just let me know))

((Deck 03, Main Bridge, USS Ronin))

It just would not do. The Ronin was a disaster waiting to happen. During her short time onboard, which mainly consisted of watching the underwhelming CO speech and then making her way to the Operations Center and then to the bridge.

In that time she had encountered five faulting systems, nine minor incursions and four consoles that weren't even connected to the main computer yet.

Zoyara scrunched her Bajoran nose, and rubbed her ear, her d'ja pagh would need to give her strength. It was an absolute mess.

Another code violation. She popped the bridge science station on her list of systems that would need to be upgraded to Starfleet code.

oO was any of this ship up to spec? Oo

She gathered her PADD, inputting the programming that would require new code, highlighting the vital systems that would require prioritising.

The Artemis had undergone a whole new refit when she had boarded, and everything was, for the most part, shiny and new. The Ronin appeared to be a disorganised, unrelenting shambles.

She'd spent her entire life aboard Starfleet ships and stations and she'd never been aboard one that was this unprepared for launch.

Zoyara stood up from her station, glancing to the Captain's ready room, and held her PADD in front of her, scanning the growing high priority list. She allowed herself a moment's hesitation, yet her father's voice bolstered her courage.

oO clearly the senior staff aren't telling him that this is just not acceptable Oo

Without hesitation she walked over to the door and activated the door chime, waiting a few seconds, before the door opened revealing the Trill commanding officer in his office.

Niac:  Response

Zoyara stepped inside, allowing the door to close behind her, taking an intake of breath before taking a few steps closer. She wanted to ensure the urgency of her words would be noted clearly by this CO. His record indicated a colourful history, and she couldn't be certain that he'd have the same effectiveness that she had become accustomed to with Captain MacKenzie.

After all, Starfleet does have a few bad eggs in its long history, it was up to the good officers to step forward. From what she had seen this crew was sorely lacking in that area.

On his desk was a large pile of PADDs.

oO more unfinished work no doubt Oo

Vailani: ::inhales a frustrated sigh:: Captain ::slight hesitation:: I feel it's my duty and responsibility as Operations Officer, and Systems Specialist onboard the Ronin to discuss … issues with you.

Vailani passed her PADD to the Trill.

Niac: Response

Vailani: I don't want to get above my station ::oO someone needs too Oo:: Simply put, this ship is months away from being ready to launch. I've noted down just a handful of protocol violations from the short period I've been on this vessel. I'm not sure what the repair crews have been doing but it's certainly not been reprogramming vital systems. I've been told you've given us three days. It's not good enough.

Niac: Response

Vailani: Yes, it's my duty.

Niac: Response

Vailani: Uhm… ::crosses her arms:: What?!

A slow realisation began to come over the short, tenacious Bajoran. Her eyes widened and she stared at the Captain.

Niac: Response
