Poagie started to stretch again…

Poagie: Ahhhhh

He jumped from his seat in panic feeling something brush his leg, just as the autopilot dropped the ship from warp…right into the middle of a warzone.

Caitian Kit: Purr, Purr.

The ship jostled. Alarms rang out. Lights dimmed. Shields raised.

And a hologram of Manx appeared where Poagie had just been sitting.

Manx-o-gram: I am ship’s emergency defense hologram, how may I be of…::seeing out the viewport:: Nevermind. Strap yourself and the little one in.

Poagie scooped up the kit and practically fell into the passenger seat as the small craft rolled. Automatic restraints buckled the two of them in and a shimmer of a forcefield surrounded their seat. The ship jostled again.

Poagie: Get us out of here.

Manx-o-gram: That is an excellent suggestion… but we just lost warp capability. I will evade best I can ::winks:: which is actually pretty damn good.

The small ship launched into a flurry of maneuvers dodging ships, blasts, debris, and everything else that seemed to be flying at them like lobemoths to a pennyflame.

Poagie: Ahhhh

Kit: ::frightenedly:: Meeew

Manx-o-gram: ::slaps Poagie through the forcefield:: Stop it. You are scaring the little one.

Poagie stopped as the shock of the slap took effect. He protectively wrapped his arms further around the kit.

Manx-o-gram: :: while still executing complex evasionary tactics:: Aww he’s cute. I take it he’s one of Manx’s latest litter? :: reaches over to scratch behind the kit’s ears::

Poagie: Yeah. Hey, can you concentrate on flying,

Manx-o-gram: Relax, at least a little, I can multitask.

The ship jostled again and the hologram flickered.

Manx-o-gram: Or at least, I used to be able to.

Poagie: ::pointing out viewscreen:: What is that?

Manx-o-gram: ::trying to interpret scans:: I have no idea but I shall choose to avoid it.

The hologram banked away from the space cannon.

Poagie: Good plan.

Manx-o-gram: I think our best bet right now is there. ::points between DS33and the cannon to where two Starfleet ships are maneuvering:: We can get right between those two vessels as they seem to be lining up and maybe try to put into one of their cargo bays.

Poagie: I don’t think that’s a great idea, those two are getting pelted …::looks at display:: One is the Khitomer and the other is…::almost whispers:: Ronin.

The hologram adjusted several controls and nestled the Purr-fecto right between the two Federation ships.

Manx-o-gram: See no problem. We’re perfectly safe here.
