((Sickbay, Deck 10, USS Ronin - in orbit of Gas Giant A, Ross 580 System))

Sickbay was still a mess. The power surge from the attempted power transfer between the ship and the research outpost on the moon had been the culprit for half their equipment not working. Two extra bio beds had been brought back online by the DC teams. But most of the lightning was still offline or at best flickering like they were in one of those Human horror holonovels that kept her up for weeks after watching. The flashing red light of the red alert didn’t help any.

The bright side was that they had at least managed to triage and treat the worst of the patients that had been brought in. At least no one was dying from radiation poisoning any more. Sadly, some of their own people had been wounded. The fact there were Tholians down there made Wyla angry and worried. She’d already lived through the nightmare of the Siege of DS33. She still had, well, nightmares, about the sheer volume of people they had to treat. Tholian suit blades left some of the nastiest wounds she’d seen.

Thankfully, Ian was no worse for wear as she looked down over him once the medication to revive him had been administered.

O’Connor: What hap…::he tried to sit up but stopped when a stab of pain shot through his abdomen:: Oooof.

Shortrith: Welcome back to the land of the consious, Commander. It's good to have you back. Take it easy, you've just been patched up. Fortunately, the Chief Nurse here was able to help.

Seeing the wordless thank you, Wyla beamed a smile back.

Avae: Easy, Commander. Don’t sit up just yet. You’re still recovering and you’re on board the Ronin in case that wasn’t obvious.

She smiled and spoke softly. Wyla smirked as he was given a hypo.

O’Connor: The rest? Wren, T’Fearne and the tech?

Shortrith: ::reassuring him:: They're okay. I made sure they were looked after.

Avae: They’re all back on board. On the bridge I think.

He looked like he’d just remember something.

O’Connor: The kids. Did you get the kids out?

The Antosian’s face scrunched into an unpleasant scowl for a moment but she nodded.

Shortrith: ::looking to Avae:: You received them, yes? I remember them being transported to the ship.

Avae: Yeah, the little monsters are all secured and hopefully still sedated. ::she grumbled:: They’re not actually kids by the way. Just de-aged adults that act worse than children.

O’Connor: Ok, good. Thanks.

His eyes focused down to Renaie’s side.

O’Connor: What about your arm?

Shortrith: I must admit, I haven't treated it since the initial treatment on Moon Sigma. I'll treat it later, it's fine for now. I managed to change my uniform, so it's covered for now.

Wyla focused on his bio readings while the two conversed, to make sure there weren’t any complications.

O'Connor: Were those from...?

Avae: Yep. I told them if we left slight scars it would give a little mystery. ::she giggled::

He let out a long breath and looked at the two medical professionals with gratitude.

O’Connor: Thanks, the next several hundred rounds of drinks are on me.

Wyla giggled again then followed where Ian was looking.

O’Connor: Wait, I don’t owe her too, do I?

Shortrith: Nah, just us two.

Avae: ::nodding:: I wouldn’t wish that ::nodding Thess’ way:: on anyone

She noticed how much he frowned and tilted her head slightly.

Shortrith: Are you still hurting?

Avae: The meds I just gave you should have kicked in already.

O’Connor: No, no. Not that. The pain’s definitely dialing down. ::he suppressed a chuckle ‘cause it hurt:: I was just trying to decide if it’s worse owing my life to her or Beck? Man, I need to stop getting hurt.

This time Wyla snorted before she could stop herself and she shot them both a bashful expression whilst giggling slightly.

Shortrith: We'll be here to help you, whatever happens.

Avae: I’ll be sure to let Beck know you said that. And I agree. Commander Raga is bad enough. I think he’s trying to collect Purple Hearts like they were collectibles.

As he tried to sit up again Wyla moved to stand so she could hold an arm behind his back as he did so just in case he needed the support.

O’Connor: How long ‘til I can get outta here? Something tells me this isn’t even close to over with yet.

Shortrith: It'll probably be a day or two at least, purely because the injury was as bad as it was. We'll most likely need to keep an eye on you.

Avae:  What the doc said. ::she nodded simply::

O’Connor: Response

The voice of their resident Cardassian filled the pause between conversation, calling Renaie to the shuttlebay.

Esot: =/\= Esot to Shortrith and Zh'taan. Please meet me in Shuttlebay 1 on Deck 9 as soon as possible We will be collaborating with the Engineering team still on the surface to perform some repairs before extracting them. Bring along any emergency equipment you deem fit. =/\=

Shortrith: =/\= On my way, just need to finish what I'm doing. Shortrith out. =/\=

Zh'taan: Response

Esot: =/\= Understood. Esot out. =/\=

Renaie turned to Avae and O'Connor, when Wyla saw their apologetic look she merely smiled and nodded.

Shortrith: Looks like I have places to be. Avae, I trust you to look after him. Take it easy, Commander.

Avae: Will do, doc. I’ll make sure he doesn’t get into trouble.

O'Connor: Response

She watched them leave Sickbay and looked back towards Ian.

Avae: Well, might as well get comfy. You’re going to be here for a few days. I can get you a Twibble if you like?

O'Connor: Response

As they spoke another biobed nearby lit up, and a sweat drenched engineer crawled out from under the bed in question. She gave a grateful nod towards them.

Avae: Thank you, Dahl.

Dahl: Sure thing, LT. Biobeds five, ten, thirty and forty one are all going to need new isolinear boards. It’s going to take some time to get them all back up and running. Maybe a half hour. I have to get more parts from Engineering.

She watched the engineer leave the room and looked back at Ian.

O’Connor: Response

A glance over the rest of the room she saw that Thess was treating one of the rescued scientists or personnel from the moon base. And they did not look happy. But then again, she hadn’t yet seen anyone who was glad to deal with the new surgeon.

Avae: How’s the pain? ::she asked, studying the readouts above his biobed:: Would you like some water or other drink?

O’Connor: Response
