((Sickbay Complex, Deck 10 USS Ronin))
Where had it all gone so wrong. He was ushed into the med-bay and strapped to a biobed with an armed Starfleet security officer standing guard.
Somehow he’d managed to survive the explosions, feedback loops and all the other temporal nonsense. Granted, his body had de-aged into that of an 11 year old but all in all that wasn’t so bad. He was alive and his mind was intact. So if he couldn’t salvage anything of his work here, maybe he still could start over though not in the way he’d intended.
Thinking back, things had looked good with his side experiments. However, he hadn’t counted on others there doing their own side projects as well. As best he could tell there were at least four separate experiments running at the same time when disaster struck. He wasn’t sure he knew exactly what went awry but if he had to guess it was whoever was screwing with sencha that set the wheels in motion.
He looked around the bay seeing several medical personnel attending to wounded. They all seemed to be ignoring him as compared to most he was in good shape. He needed to find out what the current situation was.
Just then ’dari entered and walked right into a human that seemed to act like she was better than everyone else.
Rurat'dari: Who are you?
Most of the time Kangar had ignored ’dari as he had his own work and she seemed competent and harmless, but now…all evidence he had pointed to that this was her fault.
De La Croix: Response
Rurat'dari: ::lying:: I don't need your help.
De La Croix: Response
'dari rolled her eye and Kangar shook his head.
Rurat'dari: So?
De La Croix: Response
Kangar laughed aloud.
Kangar: While it’s fascinating to watch this one-up arrogance contest. Can you do your job and heal my radiation burns and you tell us what the hell you screwed up so bad down there that made this all happen?
De La Croix/ Rurat’dari: Response
It was at that moment that everything shifted for him. He resigned right then to see through this do-over for the time-being. He’d stay eleven. He’d figure out a way to get out of here or from whatever foster facility or even juvenile detention they sent him to. He’d find somewhere quiet and rebuild. He eventually try all over again and this time he’d have decades to do it.
Kangar: You know what, never mind. Just leave me alone.
He smiled to himself.
