((Shuttle Bay 1, Deck 9, USS Ronin))
A very short Vulcan gathered their bags after the long journey. During transit, they had reviewed a report regarding what might have transpired during the Ronin’s most recent mission. Nevertheless, they would determine the facts once they were on board, as the available information had been inconsistent.
Fatigued and having already read through their reference materials several times, they were relieved to stand and stretch. Upon exiting the shuttle, they observed several officers in yellow uniforms, which logically indicated security personnel. They waited while several others disembarked first. It appeared that the crew was also receiving a number of new ensigns; they themselves remained relatively new to Starfleet.
Awaiting further instruction, they approached a security officer who stood noticeably taller than they did and handed over the PADD containing their transfer information and authorization for their brief assignment aboard the Ronin. Under normal circumstances they might have been somewhat more inquisitive, but the lingering effects of shuttle lag made the opportunity to move about more immediately appealing.
They noted the security officer’s rank and general appearance with quiet attention.
Taj’el: Lieutenant Junior Grade Taj’el, reporting and requesting permission to come aboard the USS Ronin.
Kessler: response
They set their bag down and waited for further instructions. Anticipating that the human officer might wish to inspect its contents, they opened it without prompting. Aside from a medical field kit, several uniforms, and an arguably excessive number of PADDs, each of which they could logically justify, there was little else within. Concealed beneath a few folded uniforms was a well-worn stuffed toy of personal significance.
Taj’el: The vessel differed significantly from the Thor in both design and overall scale.
Kessler: response
Taj’el: Clarification: what area of space does this vessel traverse? Additionally, here is a list of the medications currently contained in the hypospray, should they be required, Lieutenant.
They lifted another PADD, but paused as they noticed their ungloved hand. Now that they were on board, they would need to resume wearing their gloves. However, during a security check-in such as this, it was likely acceptable.
Kessler: response
