Lt. Cmdr. Ian O'Connor- Checking on a Friend

The turbolift doors parted and Ian stood there.

oO Crap. This is the teen impulsiveness. Oo

The whole trip up it hadn’t once occurred to him that he could have just commed. He glanced around at the business of the crew at their duties. Spotting T’Fearne’s small frame at the tactical console Ian made his way and crouched near her console. Noticing the other ship on the viewscreen and having just felt a shudder just before exiting the turbolift. He poke to her privately in just above a whisper.

O’Connor:It looks like you're a little busy but…are you okay?

T’Fearne: Response

O’Connor:-Like do you feel like normal you? Not different like 12-year old you? Like in your head.

T’Fearne: Response

O’Connor: No, just a recent realization. For me this change has become a little more than just physical. I just wanted to make sure you're good.

Just then their interim CO who’d been on a comm channel slammed his hand down on the side of the console.  

Kel: ::mumbling::  Boring conversation anyway. ::normal voice::  T'Fearne bring weapons online, full shields.  Ensign Wren do we have the plan in place to go to warp?

Nicolau/Morrow/Kel/B'hab/Wren/T'Fearne: Response

Kel: ok.  Bring us about Lt. Nicolau.  If they want a scrape, we'll give them one.

Ian watched the tactical officer comply but also caught as Nicolau turned her head slightly, giving him a questioning look. He gestured a thumbs up and mouthed “you got this", while feeling her bringing the ship around.

Nicolau/Morrow/Kel/B'hab/Wren/T'Fearne: Response

With combat ensuing, the rest of his conversation with T’Fearne would have to wait. He slid over near Kel’s side offering a smile and slightly awkward salute.

O’Connor: Sorry I’m late to the party, boss… but you know how us teenagers like to sleep in late. How can I help?

Kel: Response

O’Connor: Absolutely.Captain.
