Pushing stray hair from her eyes as the hull of the station rang like a beaten drum all around her Agatha knew it was only a matter of time.  The security personnel aboard were holding for the moment but more and more Alliance vessels were getting inside their defenses and the torpedo magazines were nearly gone.  Worse still, the heavier Alliance ships had hung back and were beginning to deploy some massive structure their sensors couldn't get clear readings on.  While she couldn't be certain of what it was, she was confident it wasn't a Lattice Alliance ice cream machine and they wouldn't soon be discussing this misunderstanding over a titanic softserve.

The deck shook under her feet again and the short range sensors began howling in alarm.

Stergis:  What the hell...

Agatha's jaw dropped open as the Khitomer appeared on the viewscreen only a few thousand kilometers from the station in a stunning violation of safety regulations and a spectacular display of piloting.  She felt something shift in her chest as the ship rushed towards them and collision alarms began sounding all through ops.

Zerva: ::coding the message:: =/\= Khitomer to Deep Space 33. =/\=

Stergis: =/\= Thirty Three here, state your intentions Khitomer.  I show you on a colission course.  =/\=

Mackenna: =/\= Response =/\=

Zerva: =/\= We’re coming in hot and causing a distraction. Our goal is to fire on a non-inhabited part of the station. We’ll need you clear a cargo bay. =/\=

Agatha thought she'd experienced shock before in her life but this declaration from the Khitomer forced her to completely redefine the scale of what shocked was.

Stergis: =/\= Say again Khitomer, you intend to fire on the station?  Doesn't it look like we've got enough problems at the moment? =/\=

Mackenna: =/\= Response =/\=

Zerva: =/\= We’re hoping the Alliance will think we’re here to destroy a vital asset that we don’t want them to get. This should cause any boarding parties to send number of them to one location. And with luck a number of their ships to us. Use that to your advantage. =/\=

Looking towards the raven haired intelligence officer on loan from the Khitomer with a deeply questioning gaze Agatha muted the channel.

Stergis: Do you trust them to pull this off?

Mackenna: Response

Agatha's expression hardened as she turned back to the Ops table.  A rapid scan of the still functioning internal sensors told her all she needed to know.

Stergis:  That's good enough for me.  =/\= Khitomer, passing you targeting data now.  Be advised civilians are sheltering in adjacent bays...keep that fire tight. =/\=

Zerva: =/\= Let’s hope this confusion works. We’re going radio silent. Good luck =/\=

Stergis: =/\= And to you all.  Thirty Three Stands. =/\=

Mackenna: =/\= Response =/\=

The fire came an instant after the channel closed but to Agatha's enormous relief it perfectly hit it's target, blowing open a cargo bay whose sole occupants were crates and spare equipment that would not mind the sudden trip into the void.  The fact that the Ambassador kept the majority of his wardrobe and a large collection of footwear in that same cargo bay had in no way influenced Agatha's choice of target.  She still wore a smile when her attention shifted back to Commander MacKenna.

Stergis:  I'm starting to get what you see in Captain Shayne.

Mackenna: Response

Agatha tapped at the ops table with increasingly frustrated force as she tried and failed to get the long range sensors to behave.

Stergis:  If the Khitomer is here the Ronin can't be far behind.  Think they've got a chance against all of...::She gestured with her head towards the tactical display on the wall and the massive arrangement of Alliance forces swarming over them.::...that?

Mackenna: Response

The constant drumming on the station finally slackened a bit and Agatha felt like she could hear herself think for the first time in hours.  The Alliance forces attacking the station had effectively split, some regrouping while others broke off and pursued the Khitomer.

Stergis:  It's working!

Mackenna: Response
